Spacious, quiet and well appointed!
We spent a long weekend in Portland and this apartment is a winner -- the the large living room was a perfect lounge area for our group of 6, and we used the dining room for breakfast, dinners and rousing card games. The kitchen was big enough to have more than one person prepping and cooking. The beds were comfortable and the bedrooms roomy and warm.
Grocery and retail stores were close by. Easy access for anything we needed. We had no need for a car and easily walked and Uber'd around the city. The gardens/parks close by were fantastic. And we always felt safe and sound.
Highly recommend this property!
Amazing !!!! Stayed here for the 3rd time
Love this place , lots of space and very clean and comfortable
Amazing. 2nd time I stayed for 2week each time
Wonderful place and charming
Great family “home away from home”!
My husband, son, and one daughter converged in Portland to spend Christmas with our other daughter who lives there. All 5 of us stayed at the apartment, and we enjoyed 6 special days, including Xmas Eve and Xmas Day celebrations. Location was perfect for us, and there was plenty of space for all 3 of us. Kitchen is spacious enough for all 5 of us to be prepping meals, clean up, etc. Dining room table expands to allow seating for 10. It provided the perfect “destination” holiday for our family. My only suggestion would be to add lighting, (lamps or light fixtures) in living room and bedrooms. Two blocks from Fred Meyer groceries and Walgreen’s for any last minutes needs.
Spacious Condo in a Great Location
We really enjoyed our stay in this spacious condo for a family reunion in Portland. The property was very clean, with a fully stocked kitchen and well supplied with extra linens. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was remodeled. Since we stayed here for eight nights, we appreciated having the washer/dryer available for our use. Be aware that this is a third floor walk-up if stair climbing is an issue. We loved the location as we walked downtown every day, explored the shops and restaurants on 21st and 23rd streets, and spent time exploring nearby Washington Park. We had a car and parking was a little tricky. Tom provided us with a parking pass for the area, but we had to drive around for a while to search out a spot, sometimes several blocks away. Our only complaint was the construction next door which was loud and intrusive during the day. I'm aware that this is a temporary situation, but it may be a consideration if plans are to spend quiet time indoors. Fortunately, we were out and about all day. Overall, this was a perfect property for our needs and Tom was a responsive owner. We would definitely stay here again.
Lovely historic home, close to everything, yet quiet
This is a lovely historic home; we felt completely at home and really enjoyed the stay. Quick note though, it is a 3rd floor walk-up so select your suitcases accordingly (we didn't!). The one bathroom is small but completely remodeled so just lovely and clean. The beds are super comfortable and we couldn't hear any traffic noise even though convenient to Burnside. There is a great deli within walking distance - Elephant Deli - great for food and gifts for friends. The check-out requirements are super easy as well. The owner is really helpful and the instructions are clear. We'd definitely stay there again!
