Nice location

  • 3 of 5

There were a couple of problems with the house. First was parking and the need for a zone b guest pass, which was not available. Staff tried to find out what we could do, but the only solution was for us to park at the U village and walk back, about a 10 min walk. That wasn't really workable for us and fortunately we were able to squeeze into the side of the alley.

Another problem was there was not an iron, or if there was, we couldn't find it.

Lastly, my husband dropped a black sock under the edge of the bed, and when he picked it up, it was covered in dust and lint.

We really liked the house, but we're a little disappointed with these problems. If corrected, it would be 5 stars for sure.

Charming Bungalow

  • 5 of 5

Our first trip to Seattle! We found this to be an immaculate cheerful home with a fabulous backyard, located on a very quiet street only a short drive from the University of Washington and public transportation. There are two large grocery stores nearby, and a variety of shops. We were always able to find parking right in front of the house. We did a great deal of sightseeing, and it was nice to come home at the end of the day to this darling little bungalow. The only issue we had was the kitchen faucet, which tended to drench us every single time we used it. A small complaint and not one that would keep us from highly recommending this home to other travelers.

Perfect location, fun little home with great deck area

  • 5 of 5

My two daughters and I stayed here for the better part of a week and were very comfortable in this charming little house. The location was great for us - a few minutes from local shops/UW or Childrens Hospital and less than 15 minutes to downtown Seattle. It was very clean and had everything we needed to prepare meals, do some laundry and it also had a nice back deck with a BBQ. The photos are accurate - one bedroom is a queen bed and the other is a double. No air conditioning, but fans are provided and all the windows operate nicely and have screens.

Perfect Home Base for Exploring UW and Seattle

  • 5 of 5

We recently stayed at Husky Hideaway for our visit to the University of Washington and city of Seattle. It was perfect! We were in a great neighborhood very close to UW and the light right into downtown Seattle. We even enjoyed exploring the local restaurants and shops in Ravenna and University Village.

The home itself is very comfortable with a nice kitchen and bath and everyone slept great in the beds. We loved the charming character of the home, with a sort of bright, beachy, nature, feel to it. It was very peaceful and offered the perfect respite from our city adventures. It looks like the back deck and yard would be great in the summer time for relaxing, and enjoying nice Seattle weather (it was very rainy for our visit).

We will definitely plan to stay again at Husky Hideaway on our next visit, and were even talking about visiting for a UW football game in the fall! Go Dawgs!
