'CAMPAIGN IN PARIS'
Charming family duplex apartment in a small paved private courtyard (with code). Large living room with kitchen. 1 master suite upstairs (shower and toilet). Downstairs 2 bedrooms with a bathroom (bath and toilet). Bright apartment not overlooked. Close subway / trade / Vélib station / market 3 times a week. Line 9 takes you directly to the Trocadéro to visit the Eiffel Tower. PC1 leads you quickly Tramway Pont Garigliano to access the Parc des Expositions at Porte de Versailles.
This little apartment had all the space we needed. It was fantastic to have separate beds for each of our 4 kids! I only wish we had been able to spend more time in Paris, to take advantage of this location. We found an amazing market about 2 blocks away, on sunday morning as we were waiting for our taxi to the airport. So much wonderful choice! If only we had been able to stay longer and eat more :) Lots of great little produce markets and boulangeries within a couple minutes walk.
All the comforts of home. Thanks for a great stay. Communication was excellent, and the person in charge of the keys was very friendly and efficient and helped carry all of our bags up the stairs.
It's refreshing to find an affordable apartment for 5 in Paris where you are not reliant on using the sofa as a bed! Having a living room without anybody sleeping in it makes for more pleasant evenings and early mornings for all. The apartment was more spacious than we were expecting from the photos.
The apartment is in a very pleasant location, with plenty of local shops and supermarkets so that self catering is easy, as well as offering a wide range of restaurants. It's great to be able to get to the Eiffel Tower so quickly (direct metro line) (and worth booking your Eiffel Tower tickets online in advance to save 2-3 hours queue time).
Communication from the owner Soizic was prompt, accurate and reassuring.
Besides the fact that Paris is a wonderful city, we were happy to find this charming apartment. Located in a quiet part of the city, but close to the subway, we were a few minutes away from anything, on the same subway line than the Trocadero (in front of the Eiffel Tower), the Champs Elysées, the Grands Boulevards with all the halls housing comedies, Musée Grévin and all the shops, and République and Nation and their night life... Plus easy access to other subway lines to all other parts of the city !! 30 minutes maximum to go to St Michel & Notre-Dame.
The apartment itself was very nice, and every one of our family of 6 was cumfortable. The parents' room upstairs is very comfortable, with a shower room. The fact that the apartment is at the 2nd and last level means that you can't be bothered by the neighbours upstairs (there are no neighbours upstairs, only the stars !). There are no direct neighbours on the left and on the right, and we weren't bothered at all.
Downstairs, on the 1st floor of the building, the two bedrooms for the kids were very cumfortable too. Our four kids enjoyed a good sleep after long walks through the city, and were ready again the following day! There is a second bathroom and WC below...
The apartment was very clean, including the beds. The main room is large enough, the kitchen too (no microwave). The owner was very nice and gave us clear instructions about how to use the TV, etc.
As said before in other comments, there are indeed nice bakeries nearby, and some restaurants (we can't really talk about them as we were mainly eating elsewhere in Paris during our long walks). A few shops nearby (some are open late) also allow buying food to cook your own meals.
We were happy with our stay and would recommend this location without any doubt to anyone who is not searching luxury, but comfort. Really worths the price.
We recently spent a week at this property and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The unit is well stocked for a group of all ages. The bedrooms were larger than we expected and the kitchen, dining and living areas functioned well as a communal gathering place. With the large bedrooms people were able to have privacy when they chose. The kitchen has a full gas range and large refrigerator by French standards. The bathrooms were standard French apartment size. All the appliances were in good working order. The neighborhood is middle-to-upper class, is safe and well located to the Metro and bus systems. A number of brasseries are within a 5-minute walk and there is an abundance of small and large grocery stores and specially food stores very close by, as well as a farmer's market. You can try all the bakeries and figure out which has your favorite baguette and pastries! The owner was gracious (she left us a Christmas tree) and responsive when making the reservation. If your looking to live the typical Parisian family experience you won't be disappointed in this property.
