About Brenna Harrington
Brenna is a Real Estate agent and Eric is a contractor. We love fixing up houses and have big vision and big dreams. We have three kids who we are raising to appreciate and respect nature, enjoy swimming, hiking and recreating in the Pacific Northwest, and value local connections and strength of community, including service to others. We enjoy gardening, cooking & eating healthy and fresh food.

Why Brenna Harrington chose Gig Harbor
As the real estate adage goes, we picked this property for its location, location, location. This is one of the best beaches in Gig Harbor for swimming and truly enjoying the lifestyle benefits of living right on the water. The boathouse at water's edge makes an early morning or afternoon paddle very feasible. This property also has great sun exposure - we get lots of it and get treated to amazing sunsets and moonscapes throughout the year. You can get almost anywhere in Gig Harbor within 10 minutes, and a quick trip to Costco or Target is possible. We have spent the last 3 years continually improving the mid-century house. It has all new luxury vinyl plank flooring that is waterproof, durable and soft. We think it is perfect for the beach lifestyle. We installed new windows, new siding, new doors & trim and updated the cooking appliances. It has fresh paint inside and outside. We took off the old ceiling tiles to reveal beautiful tongue and groove wood ceilings. We fell in love with the mid-century modern aesthetic and have tried to stay true to that.
What makes this House unique
We have made this a very comfortable home that functions quite well for a large family with multiple living spaces, a game/play room equipped with lots of toys and activities and a huge deck that overlooks the Puget Sound. We are so close to the water you almost feel like you are on a boat. We have garden space and 2 apple trees, raspberry vines, blueberry bushes, a strawberry patch and veggie and herb gardens. There are 50 year old rose bushes. It is just such a special place, that emanates joy and peace.

Great location and wonderful home layout for gathering!
The home worked very well for our family gathering -- with 5 private bedrooms, basement family room for children's play, open living/dining/kitchen area and terrific deck, we could all be together or have private time. The owner was responsive to questions and the welcome notebook was comprehensive, including guidelines for clamming which we did happily on the beach in front of the house! The kitchen was well stocked for our family of chefs... The location and views were terrific and even with some rainy weather we were able to enjoy lots of outdoor time. Highly recommend this property!
Great beach house with lots of outdoor space and kayaks
This was a good location for our annual family get together. We had 7 adults and 2 kids. The house has lots of toys & games. The kitchen was fairly well stocked with basics, including some baking supplies, which was really nice. Outdoors we enjoyed the kayaks, bbq and fire pit. We appreciated the outdoor shower to clean off with warm water after coming in from the beach.
Great place for families with young children
We enjoyed our stay in Brenna's home with plenty of room for 7 adults and 2 children. It's right on the water and is well equipped with kayaks, paddles, beach towels and life jackets. This home also has a fabulous selection of toys and books for the little ones!
The house is old but has been revamped in a great way, comfortable and not too fancy. The kitchen has quality cookware and knives, but be aware the digital cooktop and oven are a little hard to figure out! We also felt the basic supplies were a little sparse (only one kitchen towel, one garbage bag, and one bath towel per person for 5 nights) and we ended up having to buy garbage bags, paper towels, laundry soap and t.p. Owner's response took at least 24 hours when we had a question.
Overall a nice vacation house for a large group, in a wonderful location. The experience could be improved by having a local contact with a faster response and by providing a few more supplies.
Great family vacation house!
We loved the kayaks, paddle boards, and games. Watching two orcas passing by was an unexpected treat. The house provided a very enjoyable family vacation for all ages 10 to 72.
Great family vacation house close to excellent Seattle area attractions
We had a family vacation to the Pacific Northwest and used this great house as homebase to explore Olympic National Park, Rainer National park, and the greater Seattle
area. The house was clean, spacious, with a perfect huge deck to relax on overlooking a beautiful bay at sunset (with full boat house access including kayaks) that can be enjoyed in the evenings down by the fire pit
The house has five bedrooms and easily accommodated our party of 11. The downstairs comes fully equipped with a mini game room area that includes a foosball table and other children’s toys which came in handy for my six and three year old while adults lounged in the spacious living area upstairs. I would definitely return here
Basically a perfect vacation
My friends and I rented Brenna's house over 4th of July weekend in 2018, and it was basically a perfect vacation. The house was lovely, tidy and cozy; not the sterile feel you get from some AirBnB or VRBO properties. It really is a great location, right on the water with beautiful views of the sunset (we never wanted to leave the deck). The house had everything we needed from kayaks to games to the gas grill and kitchware. The town was fun to explore. And Brenna was very friendly and responsive, communicating clearly and quickly when a minor issue arose. Would 100% recommend this place to anyone.
Gig Harbor is a charming city with a waterfront downtown and heritage as a fishing village. There are many festivals and events happening throughout the Summer months, including free concerts and movies in the park, and a farmer's market. Other popular events include the Gig Harbor Beer Festival, The Food and Wine Festival and The International Film Festival. A free trolley connects North Gig Harbor with downtown and Uptown, thanks to our local Chamber of Commerce.
This home is located on half an acre in a residential neighborhood. We have several great parks nearby, including Sehmel Homestead Park, McCormick Forest and Donkey Creek Park. One of the best things about this house is the location. It is tucked away at the end of a private road, yet is just minutes to amenities, freeway access and The Cushman Trail. It truly is close-in, and less than 10 minutes to downtown Gig Harbor.
We are a 20 minute drive to Tacoma, less than an hour to Seattle, and within 1 1/2 -2 hours of ski resorts like Snoqualmie Pass and Crystal Mountain(depending on where you go). We have amazing hikes nearby in the Olympic National Park and Forest, as well as the Cascade Mountains, Mount Rainier and Mount Saint Helens. Some fun towns to check out nearby include Port Townsend (plus cideries along the way), Poulsbo, Bainbridge Island, Downtown Tacoma and many others. You won't get bored if you crave adventure. We also have a large library of books, games and have a fast Wi-Fi connection.
Fun excursions for kids include the Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium, The Tacoma Children's Museum, Discovery Village, Wild Waves & Enchanted Village Theme Park, and Pump It Up.
