Lovely Irish Channel Home with a Pool!
We recently stayed at Shira’s lovely home in New Orleans and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Firstly, Shira is awesome – quick to respond and easy to work with. Her home is spacious (slept 7 easily), comfy, and well appointed (the sofa in the TV room was SO comfy!). The parlor in the front of the house is exquisite and made for a great dining area. The pool was key in the warm weather and we used it extensively. The neighborhood is my personal favorite in New Orleans and the house is perfectly located on Magazine. Just steps from top tier restaurants, bars, grocery, spa, coffee shops – you name it. I would not hesitate to rent this home again on my next trip to New Orleans!
Magazine street charmer
We spent the weekend at this house. Everything was there for a perfect weekend. The large, three bedroom house allowed room for us to spread out, with six adults and one baby. The beds and pillows were soft, the bathrooms were clean, and the couch in the den made into a fold-out bed. The master bedroom was huge, with a private living area and bathroom. It was March, and the pool was chilly, but we were still able to swim in the afternoon. The leather couch was fantastic and large enough to accommodate most of the family. And the kitchen had the basics, if you wanted to prepare meals. The same if you needed to wash laundry. The house had eclectic, New Orleans themed artwork, and was a fun place to spend our weekend. We used it as our base, as we went out and explored Magazine street. The owner was very gracious about checking in and making sure we were settled. The neighborhood and location was perfect, only a short walk for breakfast at District Donuts and a short drive or walk for shopping and meals! I would highly recommend this as a place to stay!
Nice property with plenty of space for a big group. Shira was super-accommodating to our group with check in and check out and we had no problems. The pool could use a good cleaning but the rest of the house was in great shape.
Sorry about the plant debris in the pool. I have the pool professionally cleaned every week and the morning of this check in, I had my gardener come pull weeds. We just had a week of heavy rain followed by sun and a jungle grew quickly. Unfortunately some debris fell in the pool while he was clearing the weeds. It's usually very clean. But I understand the concern.
