Was great. Just as described
Very roomy. Wonderful amenities!!
This house was great for or family vacation. We rented this home over Thanksgiving and were very pleased. Tons hof space and lots of options for areas to gather. Plenty of room for all of us and the kitchen had everything we needed. While we did not have the meal at this location, there certainly is space for it. We loved gathering by the fireplace. Lots of space outside too!
We all enjoyed it and would recommend it. Only challenge would be if you are traveling with someone who can't go up and down entry stairs to home. Lovely home!
Very nice, spacious home that met most of our needs.
This home has plenty of room to fit everyone. It was very well stocked with supplies to meet all of our needs. The only issue was that it uses well water. Ordinarily that's not a problem unless there's a huge storm and the power goes out while half of our group of 12 still need to shower and get ready for the wedding we were all in town for. No electricity, no running water! Needless to say, we all have some funny and interesting stories about 12 people trying to get ready in the dark without any running water! Other than that and the slightly uncomfortable mattresses we really enjoyed the house. It's beautiful and somewhat secluded. We saw deer on the property multiple times during our stay. We played lots of games of foosball... mostly because there weren't any other board games or card decks available. Other than minor details we were very pleased with the house. I would recommend it to others and would consider staying in it again if I'm in the area.
Well maintained beautiful home on quiet property
Beautiful home, owner was very helpful and responsive, close to town for how quiet the area is. Works well for an individual or large group. Would stay again!
Worked well for our family
The family liked the house and seemed to particularly like the comfortable mattresses. Some members wanted to go buy similar mattresses. The layout worked well for us. The first floor has a family room, living room, game room and dining room so 4 groups can do different things yet easily walk to another room to see what is going on in that room. With 3 kids under 6 present, that was very nice.
A family favorite games include hide + seek and Sardines. The house lays out well for both of these as there are many doors and hiding places.
The down side is the stairs to access the house. There are 29 steps up the front. The garage and basement cannot be accessed by renters so the 29 steps is the only practical way in. That was a significant issue for two family members. This was not mentioned in the listing at the time. You can see the stairs in the front photo. We expected to use the garage and interior stairs for those with stairs issues.
The owner was always quick to answer our email messages and texts.
Please note house sits on a hill and there are 28 steps leading up to the front door.
