Come stay in our newly renovated three bedroom apartment, located on the top floor of an historic Newport home built in 1870. From the private roof deck you can see the ocean and the bridge. We're a mile from the beach, and right around the corner from Broadway shops and restaurants. Quiet neighborhood, pets and kids okay! The apartment has antique furnishings, oriental carpets, hardwood floors, w/d, 32" flat screen TV, free wifi and parking. The stairs might be narrow for some guests.
This 1870 building was once Miss Colling's School, where the wealthy families of Newport sent their children. (Rhode Island's most famous senator, Claiborne Pell, went to school here as a young man.)
This apartment is built under the eaves, so has a lovely architectural feel to it. We've just completely renovated the third floor so everything is brand new & really clean & lovely. The dining alcove is located in a round turret, and has a great view. From the widow's walk on the roof you can see the bridge and a distant view of the Atlantic ocean. Welcome!
