Great location, comfortable

  • 4 of 5

We were very happy with this apartment. It's small, but completely adequate for our needs on a short stay in DC. The location is great, a fairly short (5-10 min) walk to the Metro, very close to the Supreme Court, Library of Congress and Capitol, and a fine mile or so to the start of the museums and monuments. I felt comfortable returning to the apartment around 10pm. The place is clean and comfortable, and my sister and I had plenty of room to spread out. My bed was really comfortable, too. Some things to be aware of: The bedrooms are upstairs and the bathroom is downstairs, and those stairs are fairly steep. We had no problem with them (we're both in our 60s), and I was very happy to see there were lots of nightlights for those 2am bathroom runs. Also, the AC is window units not central. We were there on some hot June days so I ran the AC all night, and the unit in my room was a little loud (my sister's room had a newer, quieter unit). I was glad I had brought my earplugs! Overall we had a great stay!

Perfect

  • 5 of 5

Great location. Walking distance to the mall in a safe, quite neighborhood. I visited with my wife and two children. We planned on walking every day, so safety was a top priority. This property is in a very safe location. We walked around every night with no issues. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed. All appliances worked great. It comfortably sleeps four and the updated bathroom was nice. We read a few other reviews mentioning "draining" issues, we had no problems at all. The air conditioning was great - important since we visited during the hottest week of the year. The beds were comfortable and the unit was very clean. Yes, the back patio is small, but who cares - we didn't travel to DC to see a spacious patio. More seating is needed in the living room but aside from that, the layout of the townhouse is well done. The neighborhood has several good restaurants to choose from and is reasonable walking distance to metro stops. Strongly recommend if you want simple accommodations close to the mall, we would definitely stay here again when visiting DC.

Great Location

  • 3 of 5

This townhouse is in an excellent spot, super close to Capitol and set in a nice quiet street. We walked to a small convenience store and to local pubs/restaurants, which was wonderful. The air conditioning was welcome, although very noisy. The beds were comfortable but the furniture in the living area needs to be updated. The couch is terrible and the townhouse is rented to sleep 4, but there isn't enough seats to go around and the TV only had one channel! It would have been nice to have a "how it/where is" manual/guide, (how to use the appliances and what local facilities were close etc.)

Having said that, the townhouse was clean and the shower was hot and wonderful!

The booking process was very easy and the agents were very helpful.

Loved Our Stay!!!

  • 5 of 5

The location of the townhouse is within easy walking distances to many of the tourist areas as well to the Metro. We used the blue line from Ronald Reagan Airport to Capitol South without having to change trains. Restaurants and convenience stores are also within walking distance. The area felt safe, even when we were out later in the evening (we were both 55+ women). The unit was clean, and beds were comfortable. It was so quiet throughout the night! The combo washer/dryer was a bit confusing for us, but we managed to figure it out. We didn't have any difficulties with the Internet, which was important to maintain contact with family. I highly recommend this townhouse.

Perfect Location- Dated amenities

  • 3 of 5

Hard to find a better location. So close to the Supreme Court, yet tucked away into a secluded, but well lighted alley. Beds and furniture are dated and not comfortable. TV has a very limited selection of channels. Well stocked reading materials and lots of kitchen supplies like paper towels, coffee, etc. If you are ok with the basics in a great location, this is for you. If you desire luxury, this is not.

Great location, comfortable lodging

  • 5 of 5

The location is ideal and the rooms were comfortable. We didn't even notice the slow drain mentioned by others. There is a convenience store a couple of blocks away, restaurants and taxis everywhere, and the Supreme Court next door! Also, internet worked fine for us. Would definitely recommend this rental.
