We are located on a private ranch with a huge lawn and beautiful old trees surrounding the property. We are walking distance to a secluded private beach. This Bed and Breakfast rental is just five minutes from the historic town of Waimea that offers great restaurants, cinema, and colorful charm.
We are near the Resort Town of Poipu where you can find all sorts of activity; boogie boarding, surfing, golf,tennis,boating, and restaurants. Our place is a great place to get-away from it all and give you the feeling you are in paradise! We are definitely the old time Hawaii with all its natural beauty and charm. Time has literally stood still on our property. There are no resorts or throngs of people walking around. This is a truly private and peaceful area.
You will love our remote, private property, yet you are close to all the activities. You can go hiking in Kokee or take a boat trip down the spectacular Na Pali Coast. How about visiting the Waimea Canyon which is known as the Grand Canyon of the Pacific, or beach comb the private beach across the road from us.
Our family settled here in the mid 1800's and is committed to keeping the property in an unspoiled state. Several of the original homes are still standing and in use, including a nearby charming kama'aina plantation home belonging to my family built well over 100 years ago.

- Water feature just outside of the guest room, water feature has small waterfall and a small pond, water can be turned off if you don't like the noise, beautiful green grass and trees for acres surrounding house. Coco's Kauai B&B is located on the west side of the island of Kauai. We are about 25 miles from the Lihue Airport, and it will take about 35 minutes to drive to our place from the airport. We offer one room for guests with an additional room if more beds are needed. We do not rent to more than one family at a time, so it is very private and exclusive. The rental is located on the first floor of our house with a private entrance. My husband, Ian and I live upstairs. There is a large deck with a large table for outdoor eating or sunning. We supply a Weber BBQ grill on the deck.
Our B&B is located about 10 minutes from Port Allen where the tour boats leave for the Na Pali Coast. I highly recommend Capt Andy's for a boat tour, A helicopter owned by a family member is the only tour to go to the Forbidden Island of Niihau they are also located in Port Allen, Close by is 14 miles of beach-Kekaha Beach- wonderful walking and swimming although it is broken up by the military base towards the end, Polihale Beach is remote with very good walking and shelling. Salt Pond Beach Park is 3 miles from us and has lifeguards on duty. It's an excellent beach to walk and the views are spectacular, especially at sunset. Kekaha Beach is 2 miles in the other direction and has many good swimming areas. We have beach chairs, coolers, umbrella and some snorkeling gear. Many guests like to take the beach chairs to one of the beaches and watch the gorgeous sunsets....wine is optional!
We offer laundry facilities for guests staying for longer periods of time.
Kokee State Park is close by and offers hundreds of hikes from easy to difficult. The best time to go up to Kokee State Park is early in the morning for beautiful photographic opportunities.

About the owner: I was a teacher for 20 years and retired to own our B&B. I love to be outdoors and engage in several activities like kayaking, hiking, walking our labrador dog, Luca, ATVing, and generally being outside. My husband and I enjoy sitting on our deck upstairs and have a glass of wine while the sun goes down. We also go across the road to the beach almost every Sunday to have a sunset picnic.
Why the Owner Chose Pakala Village, HI, USA:
I grew up here and absolutely love that our family has a ranch. The ranch borders our back fence, you can sometimes see a cattle drive going on or see the cattle in the front pasture. I love the body surfing at Brennecke's beach in Poipu and the fact that this property hasn't changed much at all since the family bought it in 1860. It's very peaceful with a lot of songbirds chirping during the day. We have about 10 miles of beaches close to us, including Pakala Beach across the road and Salt Pond Beach Park about 5 minutes via driving.
The Unique Benefits at this Bed And Breakfast:
We have a short walk to the beach and it has about a mile of secluded beach to wander on and search for sea shells. It's close to the town of Waimea which has a movie theater and grocery stores where you can always buy fresh fish for the grill, a bank, and library among several stores which cater to the tourist. There is also a bar/restaurant in Waimea that has live Hawaiian music every Thursday night. Art Night in Hanapepe town (10 min drive) is very popular.
