Perfect place to spend Christmas!
My wife and I decided to spend Christmas alone and she wanted to see snow, so we decided on Estes Park. We considered several place to stay but chose this loft overlooking the river which is walking distance to many shops and restaurants.
Great kick off place for the Rocky Mountain National Park. Clean, spacious and well located to walk to restaurants in town. We had some issues booking. The bed needs attention but we loved waking up with the sun shining through the skylight and being able to see the stars from the bed at night. A nice place, quiet neighborhood and clean. Thanks for letting us use it.
Awesome location right on Main Street!
Really enjoyed our stay. Was walking distance to everything on main street and very nice condo. The only negative thing is that we could not get in the unit because the code on the instructions was wrong. However, I called and got someone right away and they gave me the correct code. Not that big of deal. Unit only have a few paper products so if you are staying over a few days you will need to bring more. Also, if cooking no salt or pepper. Bring your own. Overall, will stay again.
Don’t love it! Don’t stay here unless you can sleep on anything!
First, pay attention that you can book directly with their property management company. We missed that detail and had to pay several hundred dollars in additional booking fees. We are not at all pleased that Home Away allows additional parties to add whatever charges they wish. Then the property management company charged extra for credit card payments, so you have to send them a check twice to avoid those fees. Then they scrimped on supplies and expect you to buy anything you might run out of—including propane! They also charge you a security deposit several weeks before your arrival and refund it two weeks later, using your money for free all that time. Two things that weren’t supplied were Kleenex tissues and sugar for coffee. So annoying to have to go out and buy these things.
The condo was very clean and in a wonderful location, though we did experience some of the parking issues others had, even in October. Besides all that, it was the worst bed ever! It sagged so badly, I wound up sleeping on the sofa bed & my husband took the center of the king bed.
To pay that much a night for such lousy sleep was outrageous! Unless the owner gets a new bed and ditch their property management company, we will never stay there again. For future rentals, we will go back to to the competition.
We, the property manager, have charged the same set of fees for years including housekeeping and sales taxes. About a year ago, VRBO started charging their own service fee. This is not in our control.
As far as the property, often people have different expectations. I am including a review of this property that came in the day before yours:

Beautiful loft in a great location
The loft is beautifully decorated, and in a wonderful location. The balcony overlooks the RiverWalk. The kitchen is well stocked, and the fireplace was cozy. The only negative was that there is a skylight over the bed. In the early morning hours, it was like sleeping under a spotlight. We will consider staying again IF there is a blind or covering installed over the skylight.
The condo was very cute, clean, great location. We did not care for the skylight right above the bed because you were waken by a bright light every morning which I don't recall reading that in the description, bed was hard to our taste, trash dumpsters were not located anywhere in sight per instructions, but the worst part was parking. If you are going to pay to stay somewhere, there should be reserved parking. We had to park very far away at times, and that was even difficult.
This property has received excellent reviews after reviews. It apparently was not for these clients. The rental is in the heart of Estes Park. That is clearly stated in our literature.
