Ever After is a wonderful choice for a honeymoon, an anniversary getaway, or any other trip you want to take with that special someone. Its outdoor hot tub, indoor Jacuzzi, deck swing, and mountain views lend themselves to romance. Yet it’s also a good choice for a small family: With a sofa bed in the living area as well as a master suite, the cabin can sleep up to 4 people—and a couple of pets too.
Located in the Mountain Shadows Resort, Ever After sits within the Gatlinburg Arts and Crafts Loop, an 8-mile trail of more than 100 galleries, studios, and shops offering everything from stained glass to chainsaw art. It’s also just a few miles from downtown Gatlinburg, home to the Guinness World Records Museum, an aquarium, thrill rides, and more. And in just 15 minutes you can drive to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, with its hiking trails, historic cabins, waterfalls, and wildlife ranging from black bears to elk.
What’s more, the resort has an outdoor swimming pool. Open throughout the summer, it’s only a short walk from the cabin. There’s also a playground that’s not for children only: It includes a volleyball net, basketball hoops, and horseshoes.
As if all this weren’t reason enough to stay at Ever After, there’s the cabin itself. Reminiscent of an alpine chalet, it features lustrous wood-planked walls and floors and a towering vaulted ceiling. The open-plan living/dining/kitchen area includes a stone-surround gas fireplace that accentuates the welcoming ambience. Snuggle on the sofa as you watch a favorite movie on the 42” flat-panel TV with Blu-ray player or listen to your favorite music on the stereo system, which includes an iPod docking station and an MP3 player. Or perhaps you’d like to stretch out on the settee and surf the web via the free WiFi. Go ahead and post photos of the day’s adventures on Facebook or Instagram to make your friends back home jealous; we won’t judge!
Thanks to Ever After’s prime location, you have a wealth of restaurants to choose from just a few minutes away. Sometimes, though, it’s more relaxing (and romantic!) to eat at home. That’s why the cabin’s kitchen is equipped with all the appliances, cookware, and tableware you could need. Should you prefer to barbecue outdoors, there’s an outdoor gas grill as well.
The dining table by the fireplace seats people. Alternatively, you can dine at the table for 2 on the covered rear deck; after all, the fresh mountain breeze makes everything taste better. For dessert, the two of you can indulge in a soak in the deck’s hot tub. Where better to watch the sunset??
If you think that’s romantic, wait until you see the master suite. The luxurious king-size bed looks out through French doors to the woods and mountains. The doors open directly onto the deck; its porch swing is ideal for lingering over a late-night glass of wine in the moonlight. The suite also has a flat-panel TV and, for true pampering, a private jetted tub. That’s in addition to the en-suite bathroom’s shower.
Ever After has a 2nd full bathroom as well, which will come in handy if you’re vacationing with the kids or have friends sleeping on the great room’s sofa bed. Among its other conveniences are a washer and dryer, so you can pack light and even return home with a suitcase filled with clean clothing.
Plenty of amenities, a convenient location, and nature’s beauty as far as the eye can see: Ever After has it all…and more. So why not make it all yours by reserving your getaway today?
