This fabulous estate, on 5.52 acres, with Big Creek rippling by, offers sunset views of the Bitterroot Mountains and expansive lawns suitable for activities from croquet to large-scale entertaining. Featuring five spacious bedroom suites—all with full baths, top-of-the-line beds, and ceiling fans—Big Creek Pines can comfortably accommodate anywhere from 2–12 guests.
The grand master bedroom, with its sweep of large windows, luxurious king-sized bed, walk-in closet, and bath with Jacuzzi tub and shower stall, is separated from activities in the main part of the house and boasts its own little living room, complete with DVD player. The four upstairs bedrooms all have sweet window seats, perfect spots for propping open a book or reveling in views of Nature. Tucked in a nook, a futon bed provides additional sleeping. The airy upstairs hallway is hung with a huge relief map and there’s a table and chairs for cards, games, or chatting. An elk with a stately gaze accompanies your climb up the stairs, while antelope and deer appear to live in every room.
A lovely columned veranda, stretching across the back of the home, has a propane barbecue grill and seating for eight at two tables. Take the rustic stairs descending the bank and be charmed by a railed deck perched on the creek. This bottom land is renown habitat for moose, deer, and birds. Big Creek Pines has 295 ft of private Big Creek frontage.
At your service is a fully equipped kitchen, wireless Internet, full-sized W/D, and satellite TV in the living room. A powder room, convenient to the entry and living room, makes for the sixth bathroom.
From here, it’s an easy drive north to Missoula or south to the Continental Divide, with proximity to all the outdoor recreation you can think of—hiking, biking, floating, fishing, lake sailing, superb downhill and cross-country skiing, rock-climbing, and bird-watching. Plus, nightlife with great restaurants, entertainment, and local brew pubs.
In the summer, there’s ample grassy parking and Big Creek Pines can be rented for outdoor events of up to 200 people.

We stayed in this place with a girls basketball team, while they played in a tournament in Hamilton. Girls loved it! Thanks for having us!
Amazing home! Beautifully decorated and equipped. Perfect layout for 5 families.
Our family was in town for our daughters wedding. We had a delightful time. Gorgeous home, clean and well equipped. The seperate bedrooms with private baths were perfect! Thank you for helping make our weekend so comfortable!
The stay at Big Creek Pines was beyond words
Once again, (we are return customers to Amy Sage) the accommodations were amazing. Our family had so much fun on the huge manicured yard and the steps down to the creek were an added bonus.
I think a 10 am checkout was a bit early. We had just enough time to shower and pack up and out the door. We had hoped to have time to enjoy the backyard patio with the family and have one more relaxed cup of coffee. The check off list was a great help, however, it did include that we scrape off the grill if it was used (and we did enjoy our evening meal barbecue.) No utensils were provided to barbecue or to clean off the grill which made that clean up request a bit difficult.
I most definitely will, once again, seek out Amy for any of my vacation rental needs. Thanks, Amy!
Big Creek Pine
The property was lovely and exactly as describe. It was clean and nicely decorated.
We could have used a pen and paper at times.
The silverware was a bit cheap and very easily bent
If we ever come back to Montana to fish the Bitterroot again we would love to stay at Big Creek Pine again.
