I bought this property from a very special woman who had lived in it all her married life and raised her (now grown) children there. One of her daughters wanted her to move in with her across town, so she decided to sell. The first time I went to see the house, she invited me in for a meal and I sat and visited with her for quite a while. She shared story after story with me about her family and her battling (and beating!) cancer. I'm convinced her positive attitude and her gi-normous heart filled with so much love and joy allowed her to be so healthy well into her 80's. All while I was remodeling the home, I enjoyed every minute of being there. Even still, people share with me that the house just seems to emanate a loving feeling. Whether it comes from the probable thousands of home-cooked meals she cooked with love or just simply her positive energy, either way, its still prevalent in the home. So when you are there, and you feel it too, let me know! As so many have said, "There's just something special about this house, ...I can't put my finger on it, but ..."

This home is perfect for a Charleston Vactation. It is literally less than 10 min from everything
Clean and nicely decorated. Plenty of space and all the basic covered for a great stay. Downtown Charleston is just across the bridge and Patriots Point is just past the bridge. Isle of Palms beaches are easily accessible by the IOP connector and lots and lots of restaurants within 10 minutes from this house. I would highly recommend anyone taking a trip to Charleston to stay at this home.
Clean, quiet, close to everything!
The house is perfect! We had 4 adults and 2 children staying in the house. It was a great space for all of us. We took walks in the morning and enjoyed the neighborhood. The house was in such a great location to get to the beach, Charleston, the grocery store, and many local restaurants. The house was clean and a great size for us. If we come back to Charleston, we will definitely stay here again! Aleta was very attentive and fantastic! We were even able to check in early upon our arrival!
Convenient and Comfortable
We came to Mt. Pleasant for the wedding of our son. Since we would be staying for a week and be getting together with friends and family, we wanted something more than a hotel. We found this house to be ideally suited for our needs! It’s a quick trip to the airport, to downtown Charleston, to the beaches, everything! The house is beautifully remodeled and so well equipped.
This is a well established neighborhood with friendly people. Mount Pleasant's Waterfront Park is about 1.5 miles away - you can walk on the pier, enjoy an ice cream, peruse the gift shop, marvel the architecture of the Ravenel Bridge, fish, crab or enjoy an evening stroll. There is a wonderful playground area for children under the age of 12.
Be sure to check out Pete, the Pelican, at Shem Creek's waterfront park. Made by local High School students out of rubbish found during an annual Beach Sweep a few years ago, Pelican Pete serves as a reminder of how important it is to protect our ecosystem, waterways and oceans from man-made trash. Shem Creek is also home to many local favorite restaurants and bars, including Red's Ice House, Vickery's, Water's Edge, and The Wreck. The Shelter is a lively place most Sunday's with live music, fabulous Bloody Mary's and Mimosas and a delicious brunch menu.
Be daring and adventurous: walk up the Ravenel Bridge as far as you can to check out breathtaking views of the USS Yorktown and the Peninsula of Charleston.
Walk on the beach, tour one of the many local Plantations, take a horse drawn carriage ride downtown, visit the City Market or shop the Farmers Market (on Coleman Blvd in front of Moultrie Middle School) on Tuesday Afternoons. ALL of this within minutes of The Cozy Coast Bungalow!
