This 3000 square foot home was built for us in 2011, as our family home. We lived here for 6 years, and unfortunately work commitments dictated that we relocate. We intend to return here some day in the not too distant future, but in the meanwhile would like to share our piece of paradise with you. As you can see in the pictures we are surrounded by beauty: Buffalo Bill reservoir to the east; Sheep mountain to the south; the Absoraka mountains to the west; and Black mountain to the north. We are a short 20 miles west of Cody, and 35 miles east of the east entrance of Yellowstone National Park.
The house on the first floor consists of a great room, powder room, master bedroom and bath, and a laundry room. The kitchen is fully stocked with dinnerware, cookware, silverware, and spices for cooking. The lower level has 3 bedrooms, a family room, and a bathroom. There is a 65 inch flat screen TV in the great room. Enjoy your morning coffee on the deck while basking in the beautiful sunrises we see daily. Grill steaks and burgers in the evening while enjoying the cool breezes. Star gazing after dark is second to none in this area of Wyoming where there is no light pollution to detract from the celestial wonders! Use the Planet app on your tablet to locate constellations. I am astrologically impaired, but I do know that if I stand on the deck and look up and slightly to the northeast I will see the big dipper! The milky way, shooting stars, and passing satellites are visible most nights. Activities in Cody include a nightly rodeo, shootout at the Irma Hotel, several good restaurants and plenty of shopping. Wildlife in the valley is abundant and we often have deer, elk, and pronghorn wandering through our yard. There is plenty of space for parking, trailers, and campers, with lots of room to turn vehicles around. The overall property consists of 20 acres which should plenty of room for all to explore and enjoy this piece of heaven.
