This property does not have air conditioning. Because Del Mar Harbor View is located a block up from the harbor, many times the cool breeze reaches the wrap around decks and open windows.
Because of the tight knit neighborhood, a maximum of twelve (12) people are allowed at this property at any given time, this includes overnight and daytime guests/visitors.
Del Mar Harbor View is a beautiful two story home, with breathtaking views of Gig Harbor's marina and Mt. Rainer.
The main floor has an open concept, well equipped chef's kitchen. The kitchen currently has a double oven, where the bottom oven is inoperable. For the top oven, temps between 275º-375º are accurate. Temps outside of that range are inaccurate. Enjoy meals at the breakfast bar or at the bright kitchen dining area. Outside of the kitchen, sit and relax on the spectacular outdoor dining/living deck, great for alfresco entertaining and planning the next day's events.
The main floor has a comfortable living room with soaring 20' ceilings, cozy fire place and those dramatic harbor views. The formal dining room seats eight, perfect for that special dinner or setting up Sunday brunch.
The cozy junior master suite, with full bathroom and queen bed is also located on the main floor.
A handy washer/dryer mud room and half bath are off of the kitchen. Enjoy a game of ping-pong in the home's garage.
Walk up the stair case from the entry hall, to the second floor landing. Off of the landing is the sleeping loft with two full beds and direct access to an outside deck.
The master suite is next, with a king bed and private deck, over looking the harbors's shopping village and Mt. Rainer. The large master bathroom has a soaking tub, shower, see-through fireplace and double sink vanity.
The second floor also has two additional bedrooms that share the hall bathroom. Each of these bedrooms has a queen bed, window seats and walk in closets.
The garden is spacious, level and lovely. A charming white picket fence surrounds the landscape, making Del Mar Harbor View your own private oasis. Stroll through the garden or sit on the deck overlooking the Harbor's yachts and fishing boats.
Del Mar Harbor View is located in an established neighborhood, one block up the hill from downtown Gig Harbor. A five minute walk from the house brings you to at least eight appetizing restaurants, wine bars and gourmet sandwich eateries. You'll want to explore the historic Gig Harbor Maritime museum, only two blocks away.
Kayak and boat rentals are two blocks from the house, ready for your water front exploration or morning work out.
Make time to explore the Beach Basket and other quaint shops, all close by and walkable.

My out-of-town guests marvelled at the accomodations!
I rented this property for my relatives who came from all over the U.S. to attend my mom's funeral. The place was pristine and perfect for us all to gather, reunite, and celebrate my mom's life. There was enough room for everyone to gather into groups and converse. The living room was large enough for us to watch the slideshow. There was plenty of room for 10 people to sleep, with 3 1/2 bathrooms. The view was fantastic despite the misty weather and Mt. Rainier made a glorious appearance the last morning. My guests walked to a nearby cafe for breakfast. Warren was great and very accommodating of any of my requests. Although I didn't get to stay there personally, I would consider renting it again for my family.
We enjoyed our stay!
What a perfect home for our family reunion!
The home is lovely in every way. Perfect location, view of the harbor, quiet, comfortable.
It was very spacious with lots of room for 11 of us! I would stay here again if the opportunity came up in the future!
great house for a girl's weekend!!
Great house! Easy walk into town if the weather permits. Views from house are amazing! We had some electrical issues while there, that the managers Warren and Erik had resolved immediately with an Electrician. They also provided more cooking implements at our request! The oven needs repairs, and they ordered parts while we were there. The house has a number of paintings done by the manager that are beautiful, and We Will be back next girls weekend! Thank you again, Warren!!
Beautiful views from the home; great location; easy access & parking
This house is nice, with very beautiful views. The high ceilings accent that. There was ample space for our family to spread out, and a separate dining room where we did a puzzle. Otherwise we ate in the kitchen dining area, which was large enough for 8 of us with the high chair. There is plenty of prep space in the kitchen, but there were some shortcomings: Only 1 oven works. I had seen two in the pictures but one was DOA. That would have been good to know, especially for a holiday meal for 8; Not enough pots/pans/baking sheets. The sauce pans are small and pretty worn out/no larger cookie sheets-just one tiny one; luckily we brought 2 large pots (boiling potatoes for mashed for 8 is alot of potatoes), a large cookie sheet, and 2 - 9x13 pans for baking things in (casserole and veggies)...we would have been out of luck if we hadnt brought them-so definitely bring your own.; no bottle opener and sub standard wine corkscrew/small details but important; and the coffee pot takes 22 minutes to make a pot of coffee. We timed it twice. With all coffee drinkers, that was a bummer.
There are a couple large stains on some carpet areas which detract from the home's charm. Oh, and it says in the book they have there, that the BBQ is only to be used in the summer. We did not use it, but if you were planning to grill your food, that won't happen in the winter. Lastly, the ping pong table is in the garage, and there was no heat out there; too cold to play. A patio heater would have made the space usable and there is ample ventilation for one.
We wished it had been nice enough to sit on the porch and take in that view. It is stunning.
Warren was a pleasure to deal with and answered questions promptly. I would definitely stay here again without hesitation.
