Sheila and David both grew up outside Washington, DC and went to schools in the east coast. In 1974, we moved to Southern California and have lived there ever since.
'Water's Edge', our house in Cambria, is a wonderful place to escape to for R&R!
The Owner purchased this house in 1993
At the time we purchased the land and built our house in Cambria, it was one of the few affordable oceanfront properties in California. It was an investment for our future.
My family and I traditionally like to visit Cambria during my grandchildren's spring break. We have been to Cambria 8 times and love it more every time. This was our first stay at 2141 Sherwood and we all agreed that the views are amazing! We felt very much at home in the comfortable surroundings. Love making memories in Cambria and imagine we will return in the near future to make even more. Thank you for this outstanding experience. Another Cambria adventure.
This home was the ideal venue for our special mother/daughter weekend. Very relaxing! We all loved hearing the sound of the crashing waves, and the views were spectacular. The expansive ocean view from the master bedroom is second to none! The house was clean and comfortable, especially the beds! And it has all of the amenities one would need, including a well stocked kitchen. The location was perfect for our daily walks along the bluffs and for exploring the beach and tide pools. Diane was a pleasure to work with; we would definitely love to return!
A high school girlfriend and I had a 'mini-reunion' there for three nights. It was a beautiful setting, and when we had a couple of VERY minor issues, Diane and Chris, who were overseeing our stay, immediately took care of the problems.
We just brought breakfast and snack food, and ate in town each evening. Super easy and relaxing stay as everything needed was provided.
It rained pretty much the whole time we were there but that didn’t stop us from enjoying this place. This is a beautiful, well maintained home with wall to wall windows downstairs and upstairs of the amazing ocean views. It is a great location, 15 min from Hearst castle and about 10min away from plenty of good local restaurants.
The only con is that the neighbors’ houses are too close but lucky for us they weren’t home.
We would definitely come back again.
Our group of 3 longtime senior couples stayed 5 days at the beach house the first week in February. The weather was terrible..5 days of rain, thick fog and no sun. However, the beach was fully equipped, very comfortable and cozy. The house was spotless and the views of the beach were wonderful. The bedrooms were quite comfortable and plenty of parking for 3 vehicles. I would recommend this home to anyone who likes comfort and privacy on the beach. Cambria was a quaint little town with great shops and good food.
gorgeous bluff walk just a few minutes from the house
