Stay in an outfitter tent on the banks of the Manistique River. We are less than an hour from either end of Pictured Rocks, and, on the shore of the Manistique River.

We provide cots and you will provide sleeping bags/bedding. You have access to water, hot shower, toilet, grill, fire ring.

Sleeps 4 on cots & three on the floor, or, 8 side by side on floor in sleeping bags.

We can accomodate a 1 or 2 day canoe/kayak trip on the Manistique River. We would shuttle you to 10 curves road launch, and you'd float back to your tent. Add on a second day and end at Mead Creek State Campground and we will shuttle you back to your tent. 1 night lodging minimum for a day float, 2 day minimum for a 2 day float.

Relax in an outfitter tent overlooking the Manistique River
average rating of 5.0 based on 1 reviews

Perfect for our needs -- comfortable, economical lodging, great location and helpful hosts!

  • 5 of 5

It was so nice not to have to set up camp after our long drive to the UP -- it was all ready for us when we arrived. It also was great not to have to pack it up at the end of our stay. The tent with cots was very comfortable, and bathroom/shower facilities were very clean. The "camp kitchen" was stocked with cooking gear for our use -- it was so nice not to have to bring these items ourselves. Brian and Rebecca, our hosts, were wonderful -- friendly and extremely attentive, and so helpful as we planned outings for our 4-day stay. Also, the camp's location was central to our areas of interest. We would return without hesitation. Our only recommendation for improvement would be a screened-in dining tent and a hose for washing dishes. Thank you for providing such a wonderful and economical lodging option for our UP exploration vacation!
