About Meg McGuire
I love traveling, always have. There's something about getting out and seeing the world, meeting its people, that makes me come alive. Having Satsuma is a perfect fit for me because I get to welcome travelers who are getting out and about and coming to my world. Helping them to have their best experience of my home town is motivating and fun for me. If they head back home with great memories of their time spent in New Orleans, at Satsuma in particular, I feel very happy.

New Orleans charmer meets location, location, location!
Satsuma was the perfect place to land for our family (6 adults) during our stay in New Orleans. The house is fabulous and a true “home away from home”. Meg was so very helpful and eager to give suggestions and recommendations. Little touches in the home made it welcoming and it was filled with New Orleans charm. The location is ideal with restaurants, markets and parks all in close proximity and getting to other parts of this fabulous city was an easy Lyft ride away. I would highly recommend Satsuma to anyone planning a trip to NOLA. Thank you Meg for sharing your beautiful home!
Y'all were just delightful guests, and I'm so glad you were happy here. I'll think of you when I look at the perfect Satsuma sign you helped me find for my place--thank you! All my best :)
A Gem in Nola
I was looking for a very special place, for a very special visit to New Orleans. I found it! This home is not only comfortable, gorgeously decorated, located in one of the best neighborhoods in Nola but is owned by one of the sweetest hosts you will ever meet. The home has charming, extremely comfortable accommodations, anything you might need or want has been provided. A real jewel, you won't be disappointed.
Loved having y'all at Satsuma, Linda! I'm so glad you were happy here. All my very best to you and your family.
Great visit to NOLA.
This house is welcoming and very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the neighborhood. It’s guiet and feels safe. Really enjoyed the lovely front porch. Would definitely stay at this location again. Take a walk to beautiful City Park and try Toup’s Meatery for lunch.
Wonderful, comfortable family home
My husband and I and our two daughters stayed at Satsuma in June. The home is clean; the decor is adorable; house has great bathrooms and comfy beds.
Meg, though away while we visited, was accessible, welcoming, and answered messages immediately. We were greeted with local drinks and treats (both adult and kid friendly) and plentiful instructions and travel tips to make our stay enjoyable.
Location is great. We had our car, and the house has an off-street parking spot. However, we could walk to so many cool places. Bayou St. John is a fun, eclectic neighborhood. Very friendly.
I could've sat for hours on the porch just soaking up the atmosphere. A true local experience! Thanks for the hospitality!
Kristen and her family were wonderful guests in every way--I'd have them back in a heartbeat! Thanks for choosing Satsuma!
