Birthday weekend getaway
We had a great time during our stay! Trish made everything easy and was incredibly accommodating. The house is lovely and perfect for our party of 8. The location of the house was convenient to downtown restaurants and taverns, and was a short Uber ride from Keeneland. Great experience!
Great place close to downtown
We had a great experience. Trish was great to work with and made everything easy. Close proximity to all the attractions in lexington. We had a group of 8 and there was plenty of room for all of us.
Comfortable and interesting home with amazing hostess
We had a really lovely stay at the "castle" in Lexington with Trish. She made everything so easy and was SO lovely to deal with. We were a party of 8, and we felt like we had plenty of room for everyone. It was great to have the living area downstairs to sit and talk in, as well. And Trish is really a wonderful hostess. She met us when we arrived, had coffee ready in the morning, and she even had homemade granola and pastries for breakfast both days! It really made the stay extra special, and I would definitely recommend it. It's also conveniently located near the center of town, 15 minutes from the airport and the race track, and has plenty of parking. We were in town for a wedding, and it worked out perfectly.
Most amazing place ever!!
This home and experience was beyond our expectations. Trish is not only an amazing host but and amazing person. This home will wrap you in art and beauty. It will truly nourish your soul. We stayed with a group and she was so accommodating. The breakfast was so awesome as well as the accomodations. The location was perfect. We will never stay anywhere else. If coming here to Lexington it is a must stay!
1880 Victorian gated, fenced grounds and parking artist studio on third floor with fifth bedroom loft unique 'castle' detailing relaxing grounds and majority of home open to guests-minus kitchen and owners separate quarters onsite on a main thoroughfare, so street noise; but a quite 'retreat' home nonetheless, in the revitalizing NoLi district With respect to the historic home and this revitalizing neighborhood, we are not a party house, but a great place to stay when visiting Lexington, enjoying your group time or using as a landing zone for your stay. That said, outdoor area and common rooms are always great to lounge and gather~
2nd floor coded entry small lounge Large dining room 2 shared baths among guest rooms wifi throughout entire home/grounds NO FULL kitchen. Mini frig and microwave as well as dishes all available. yards and gardens self-serve coffee & tea off road, gated parking
John and Trish are onsite most always with private quarters~ You can have as little or as much of us as you need!
Just 1.5 miles from the heart of Lexington. Walking distance to West Sixth Brewery/Smithtown Seafood, Lexington Art League and park, as well as delicious NoLime Coffee and Donuts, Broomwagon coffee and cafe and Minton's Lunch. Minutes drive to Kentucky Horse Farm, Keeneland and many other farms as well as brew pubs, UK and the bourbon trail. Great trail head for biking/walking just minutes away at the YMCA. On a main thoroughfare, so street noise; but a quite 'retreat' home nonetheless! No full kitchen but mini frig and microwave as well as dishes all available.
Bus on street to all locations as well as great Uber service if walking is not your first choice~
Other things to note
