House was great it fit our needs well. The owner was very good to work with and was great to answer any questions. Glad we took all the food that was needed for our stay as someone else stated their is no place close to buy groceries. i only gave it 4 stars because we had taken a trailer with us and the road and drive way were a little tricky with a large trailer.
Beautiful spot. Great house. Well kept up.
The house is a perfect spot to enjoy the area. Really comfortable, well furnished, spectacular views in every direction. Bring food for meals as there's not much shopping near by.
I hope to come back some day!
Great place to stay, very secluded with a great view, but close to Boulder and hiking trails. Will come back here next time.
Comfortable, casual house with wonderful views.
A rustic getaway in a cozy and quiet part of the American Southwest
The setting is second to none with easy access to the National Parks, forests and monuments in the region.
The owners were attentive and accommodating in setting up our stay. The house is charming, but be prepared that it is a bit rough...no A/C only an issue in July and August, but it does get hot during the day even at 8000 ft. We were pretty comfy at night, but it took some time to cool off. There were some insects and other minor intrusions, but it's a rustic cabin in the desert so you should expect that I suppose.
Overall a nice enough home in a fantastic location. The fee may be a bit high for essentially a nice step up from camping...but location, location, location.
Thanks for your feedback. I do agree that things were a bit rough during the late June, early July period. Temperatures at that time were exceedingly high bringing out the bugs. We have subsequently invested in a swamp cooler that will be installed prior to the summer months next year.
I'm glad you appreciated the setting and the sweeping views in all directions. I know you appreciated the convenience of the washer/dryer as you had been on the road awhile; and I hope the ease of having a dishwasher and modern stove.
Thanks again for staying with us.
