Guestbook comments from the manager

5/5 "We enjoyed a fantastic weekend at Seawind in Gulf Shores. The weather was perfect and so was the condo. This unit is a prime location in the building, high enough to avoid noises along the beach and offer breathtaking views of both sunrises and sunsets. The condo was just as described on the webpage and in the pictures, complete with amenities anyone would need for an extended weekend or week at the beach. We especially enjoyed eating out on the balcony the first evening and then relaxing in the hot tub. Also, to reiterate what others have said, the beds slept great! Later we took advantage of the fitness room. The location of this condo in Gulf Shores could not be better; we were within walking distance of shops and eateries all along the beach. Ate lunch one day at the next door Sea N Suds, and another day at the nearby Ribs and Reds. Then one evening we drove 4 miles over to Orange Beach and ate at Wintzells--a Gulf Coast tradition! Our only regret was having to leave. Fortunately we don't live that far away so hopefully we will be able to return and stay in unit 1205 again! Thank you so much for providing a great condo for a relaxing weekend."

Love this place!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed for a week with 3 young children, it was fantastic! Love the set up, the book collection was an added bonus. View of the beach was perfect and right next to Sea N Suds for outstanding dinner. Can't wait to go back!

Great Condo at a reasonable price

  • 5 of 5

Tasteful decor with comfortable furniture in every room. Each bedroom has a nice, big chair, master even has a small computer desk also comfy beds. Fully equipped kitchen, a dvd library, and even some beach stuff is furnished - all nice extras but the playstation is too much of an antique.

Bathrooms have two headed showers & curved shower rods - a nice up-grade.

Stunning head-on Gulf view from both the master & living rooms. Wow.

Unit was clean and there was on-site management to fix stuff.

We will be back.

Had hoped for a "going out in style" unit

  • 3 of 5

We are retired snowbirds who have been spending winter months in Gulf Shores for the last 7 years. It was our intent this year to stop renting and to "go out in style" in a magnificent high-rise beach front condo while shopping for a home to purchase. In the winter of 2014, we looked at many and finally found the perfect one which we enthusiastically reserved. When we received our first bill installment several months later, I noticed that the unit number had changed. I called to ask what happened and was told that the unit we reserved had been sold and was no longer available as a rental. They sent me pictures of the one they were substituting; and, although we were disappointed, we accepted the change. Mother Nature didn't fail us at all---the view of the beach and the sunrises and sunsets from this unit were second to none, but the unit itself was a disappointment the moment we walked in the door. The carpet and furniture needed (and promptly received) shampooing, but things like broken beach chairs and umbrellas, uncomfortable couch and chairs, and broken lamps needed to be tolerated. The rental manager was very accommodating and did what she could to make us comfortable, including negotiating a rental fee reduction for the first month for us. An active family whose vacation destination is Gulf Shore's beach and activities and simply needs a place to eat and sleep might find it very suitable. On the other hand, a family like ours whose vacation destination is the condo itself, might find it falls short for them as it did for us. Very underwhelming but with great potential.

Great Family Fall Vacation at Gulf Shores!!

  • 5 of 5

We had a great family vacation at Gulf Shores. We were there with our son and his family. The view was beautiful and the weather was great! Our 17 month old grandson just loved the balcony and we felt safe with him out there with us beside him, because the railing was secure. He loved the lower bunk bed and other furniture because it was lower and he could climb up w/o any help. We had everything we needed and the owner / manager at the office were helpful. The beach items were great also. The only problem we had was the button on the dryer broke off, but was fixed quickly. We have stayed at other condo's at Gulf Shores, but wanted to stay here because of the kiddie pool. We saw it last year and thought our grandson would like it and he did. We like this area of Gulf Shores because you can walk to some good restaurants. We will be back!!!

Not disappointed...in fact, pleasantly surprised!

  • 5 of 5

We will be leaving this fine condo in the morning. Me, my wife, and two daughters found a clean, well-appointed condo with a beautiful view 7 days ago. The support staff kept all entrances clean and pleasantly fragrant. There is one large balcony with two patio doors for access (one from the master and one from the living room). On the balcony is a large patio table and 6 chairs for al-fresco dining. The bathrooms are large and modern. You will need to bring things like coffee filters and salt & pepper shakers, but all the glasses, dishes, and utensils are provided in abundance. There are 5 outdoor charcoal grills on the ground level of the complex for your use.

The pools and hot-tub are perfect with beech access right beside the pools. There is plenty of covered parking (which is nice for keeping your car out of the hot sun).

When you walk in the unit itself, there is a nice (2nd) bedroom on the left and a small room with a desk and twin bunk beds on your right. These two rooms share a nice sized bathroom. As you progress down the hall you enter a very nice kitchen with stainless appliances and granite counter-tops. Their is a microwave, coffee-maker, and blender for your convenience. Further still, there is a dining room with a table and 6 chairs. Then there is a carpeted living area with a nice HD TV, a couch that will seat 3, an ottoman and two wicker chairs for additional seating. The view from the living-room is breath-taking. The Master bedroom suite is large and equipped with a king-sized bed, a large walk-in closet, and 3 piece bathroom. Again, the view is exceptional!

There were only one or two minor things that were a bother - one could not be helped. We had neighbors who smoked like a freight-train on their balcony and the smell in the early morning was a bother when drinking coffee on the balcony and watching the sunrise. The other issue pertained to the door - you either had to slam it or push against it firmly to get it to latch. Other than that, the place was perfect and I hope to rent it again!!
