Nice updated property with prime location for beach lovers!
We really enjoyed our stay! The property was spotless and well appointed. Beach access was great with only a few minutes walk. Once on the beach you’ll find there aren’t many people. The beach is wide and beautiful. Because of the location at the tip of the island, you can walk all the way around to the sound side where you reach the public beach. I launched my kayak from there daily. If parking was an issue, it didn’t matter because the property is only 4 driveways down and you can easily carry your kayak if need be. The kitchen had everything we needed. The loft area is a good use of space for an extra person but is out in the open and any early risers will be sure to wake anyone there up. The decking and stairways are new and splinter free! The closet underneath is fully stocked. Don’t bring your beach chairs or bikes. The ones provided are great. If you have more than one car, parking can be cramped but we managed with three vehicles. You just have to move them around a little as parking for two are under the house in a straight line with the 3rd parking directly behind them in the driveway. We were able to talk to the neighbors and also utilized the turnout on their side which made things easier. We cooked most of our meals there so we don’t have any restaurant reviews for the area. There is a large Weber charcoal grill for your use which we used daily. The pooI could have been very nice but the water happened to be extremely cloudy the day we used it. I think the HOA should probably keep it a little cleaner but in all fairness, there has been a lot of rain in the area so that could have been the reason. I would highly recommend this property to small groups and families and would consider staying here again in the future.
Wonderful, well cared for property
What a fantastic week at the beach! Our family of five was extremely comfortable in this lovely beach house. The home is completely updated, the furnishings are lovely and well cared for, the kitchen is fully stocked and the owners offer many extras like the use of bikes and beach chairs..There is a beautiful deck out back where you can relax on comfortable patio furniture (including a sectional!) and you are a short walk to the beach, the sound and the pool. We rode bikes into town daily for putt, putt, coffee and ice cream. We really couldn't have asked for more. It was a breeze to work with Anne. the owner, who was super responsive and helpful.
Wonderfully appointed home on Topsail Island
My family just returned from a week-long stay in this home. We selected it due to the good reviews and its location on the island, on the last row of homes at the southernmost point. Anne is a great hostess and the home did not disappoint. It had everything we needed to enjoy our stay - dishes, cookware, bikes, patio furniture, beach chairs, internet-friendly tv, nice linens and very comfortable beds. Everything was in good working order with no complaints. The best part about the home, however, is its lovely location, backing up to the dense shrubbery behind the beach dunes. A short distance outside the front door takes you to either side of the island (sound or beach) and we walked the beach between the two at least once every day exploring the tide pools and picking up shells. The owners have a nice pair of binoculars in the kitchen and I also spent a bit of time watching birds and wildlife from the back patio. We only found a few good places to eat out on the island and cooked at home more than we dined out, which was fine. We came to relax and ate almost every meal on the back patio. Thank you, Anne, for a lovely week.
Spotless beautiful well appointed beach home
Spotless beautiful well appointed beach home. Everything in the home is updated high-quality and beautiful. You will instantly relax in the surroundings and have nothing to worry about. The owner is extremely responsive I would definitely stay here if you can. Not to mention the south end of topsail has everything, the sound the beach and beautiful nature views you just can’t beat it
Great rental on Topsail Beach!
We traveled to North Carolina to visit our youngest daughter who lives there and so enjoyed the house with its close proximity to the beach! Living in Southern California, there are always tons of people crowding our beach area. What a change to walk to the beach from this Topsail Beach property and find very few people. I loved that people would set up their chairs and umbrella and stay a while but then leave all their stuff on the beach and head home for lunch and come back after and find all their belongings untouched. We took the bocce ball and cornhole sets and played on the beach and relaxed in our beach chairs. Our morning walks on the beach and sound saw us returning to the house with pockets full of huge shells.
We mostly stayed in and cooked and lacked for nothing. The house had everything we needed to make meals in terms of bakeware/cookware and even ingredients we had forgotten to pick up. When we did go out, we enjoyed some of the surrounding restaurants and went in to Wilmington one day.
If I had any questions, Anne was quick to get back to me. Our week went by far too soon! We would definitely return for another vacation and hope to stay in the house again in the future... :)
Thank you Pam, it was a pleasure having you at our Topsail home. I'm so glad you enjoyed it. It was great you used all the extras we try to provide to ensure you have a great vacation. Best Wishes, Anne!
What a great house! We loved the view especially from the master bedroom. There was everything you needed and more provided at the house. It was exceptionally clean. There was a cute little town very close by. This is the best house we have stayed in.
Thank you so much. We try to provide everything so that you can have the best vacation. We are glad you enjoyed it.
