Perfect relaxing escape

  • 5 of 5

I don't even know where to begin! This was the absolute best little escape from city life that I could have imagined. First of all, the grounds are absolutely stunning - beautifully thought out and landscaped gardens, tons of space for the dogs to run around in and wildflowers EVERYWHERE! (we stayed very beginning of April). The property is far enough removed from other houses that all you hear are the bugs, birds and wind. Our dogs loved running around and we were never afraid of them getting to the road because the property is lined with thick trees and brush. Secondly, the cottage itself is the cutest thing! The doors open up on both sides of the house so you get an amazing breeze going through the house and it's so open you feel like you are basically outside. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to cook and wonderful breakfast items are included! The bedroom is peaceful and well appointed - and the bed is one of the most comfortable beds I have slept on.

We spent most of our time on the back porch enjoying the beautiful view of meadows all around us. For sunset we took some drinks and a blanket to one of the openings on the property and had a lovely picnic.

Natalia was absolutely amazing to work with and made everything so easy. We felt very welcomed and more than accommodated for. HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

We are already planning our next trip to this wonderful place :)

Owner's Response: Thank you so much, Alysse!! You were a pleasure to host and we really appreciate the immaculate condition you left our house in. I was so pleasantly surprised that you turned the ac temperature up without me even asking! Again, you were the best kind of guest anyone could ask for.

Lovely Retreat with plenty of fun nearby!

  • 5 of 5

I loved this place!! I took my dog with me on a much needed break, and this place was perfect. The acreage is off of a gorgeous road with very, very little traffic so sitting on the sunny front deck or back covered porch, it was always peaceful. I saw lots of birds, rabbits, a few deer and an armadillo, Texas natives! There is a nice picket fence that encloses the yard around the house so I could sit outside with my pup and not worry about her running off after one of those rabbits.... If you have small children or a dog that wants out, bring a couple of extra bungees, and it will be quite secure. If you have a really small dog though, it could possibly squeeze out. The house itself was lovely. The bedroom has windows on 2 sides that face the side and back of the property so plenty of privacy if you like to relax in bed and see nature. The kitchen was quite accommodating for a relatively small house. Plenty of utensils, pots and pans, and counter space to fix a lovely meal. Also, the place is close to several cool towns with nice shops and restaurants if you want to get out and do something or have someone else cook for you! The house has lovely stained concrete floors so it's easy to keep clean, even with a dog, and no leftover dog smells from other visitors. :-). Bed was very comfy with nice linens, and nice towels, etc, in the bathroom. Nothing to complain about, it was lovely and peaceful and I will be returning as soon as I can! Oh, and the owner was very attentive with great communication so it was a pleasant and easy experience! If this is what you are looking for, you will not be disappointed! I bet the windflowers in the spring are breathtaking!

Great place for a retreat!

  • 4 of 5

I enjoyed being in the country in this quiet, pleasant place. The cottage was clean, well equipped and had all the necessary kitchen supplies needed for cooking, etc - even a washer and dryer. The property was gated which gave me a sense of security. I really enjoyed watching the deer that would wander up close to the house as well as the different kinds of birds that passed through the area. Natalia gave me clear instructions and directions and was very nice.

Wonderful Christmas Getaway!

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I greatly enjoyed spending our first Christmas together in this cozy cottage. Very well-kept house and grounds! Quiet, but close, retreat away from Houston which was very refreshing! The owner is very nice and provided easy to understand directions for getting to the house, checking in and checking out, and had the cookware we needed to cook some delicious meals! We would definitely recommend this cottage to our friends and would love to come back again!

About Natalia Rawle

My husband and I live in Houston and build Cedar Meadows in 2015. We fell in love with Chappell Hill/Brenham from the moment we saw it. After we got married in Brenham we decided to build a house there.

Natalia Rawle purchased this house in 2015

Why Natalia Rawle chose Brenham

This is a great escape from the busy city life that I think everyone needs every once in a while. This property truly offers a peace and quiet getaway that will fill you with joy of simple country life and reenergize you for weeks to come.

What makes this house unique

The property is fairly secluded but easily accessible from Hwy 1155 and Hwy 105.
