About Natalia Rawle

My husband and I live in Houston and build Cedar Meadows in 2015. We fell in love with Chappell Hill/Brenham from the moment we saw it. After we got married in Brenham we decided to build a house there.

Natalia Rawle purchased this house in 2015

Why Natalia Rawle chose Prairies & Lakes

This is a great escape from the busy city life that I think everyone needs every once in a while. This property truly offers a peace and quiet getaway that will fill you with joy of simple country life and reenergize you for weeks to come.

What makes this house unique

The property is fairly secluded but easily accessible from Hwy 1155 and Hwy 105.

Perfect relaxing escape

  • 5 of 5

I don't even know where to begin! This was the absolute best little escape from city life that I could have imagined. First of all, the grounds are absolutely stunning - beautifully thought out and landscaped gardens, tons of space for the dogs to run around in and wildflowers EVERYWHERE! (we stayed very beginning of April). The property is far enough removed from other houses that all you hear are the bugs, birds and wind. Our dogs loved running around and we were never afraid of them getting to the road because the property is lined with thick trees and brush. Secondly, the cottage itself is the cutest thing! The doors open up on both sides of the house so you get an amazing breeze going through the house and it's so open you feel like you are basically outside. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to cook and wonderful breakfast items are included! The bedroom is peaceful and well appointed - and the bed is one of the most comfortable beds I have slept on.

We spent most of our time on the back porch enjoying the beautiful view of meadows all around us. For sunset we took some drinks and a blanket to one of the openings on the property and had a lovely picnic.

Natalia was absolutely amazing to work with and made everything so easy. We felt very welcomed and more than accommodated for. HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

We are already planning our next trip to this wonderful place :)

Perfect Little Getaway

  • 5 of 5

From the relaxing porches and scenery to the fully stocked kitchen and comfortable rooms, this is the perfect getaway! We enjoyed being able to sleep in, enjoy the cool summer mornings on the porches, and relax in the comfortable summer evenings, watching sunset behind the trees and hoping to catch yet another glance of the deer that roam the area. During the days, we were able to make the short trips into Independence, Chappell Hill, and Brenham to sightsee. Everything in this little cottage was found as advertised and we just thoroughly enjoyed the place. Natalia was such a gracious host, allowing us to make a last minute reservation and having the place all ready and beautiful.

If you are looking for a place to stay and yet want to be close to some things to do, this is it. Washington-On-The-Brazos is just up the road and is a wonderful place to visit to learn about Texas history. Independence is a lovely little town with history from the founding of our state to the founding of Baylor Univ. The rose garden is impressive and there are fun cemeteries to view. Chappell Hill has a neat little museum on the history of the area.

This is definitely on our "want to go back" list. Highly recommend this lovely place.

Beautiful, relaxing, perfect getaway from the city

  • 5 of 5

This place really takes the cake. We were very surprised how secluded you felt. In the evening all you could hear was the crickets and some birds, we even saw fireflies. Because of the way they built the house there was almost always a breeze to keep you cool. It is the start of June so we expected it to be to Hot to sit on the porch. It was perfect, we even ate our dinner out there. Beautiful grounds, house is updated and decorated nicely. Had everything we needed to have all meals there. Even had treats left for us when we got there. Natalia was very helpful and always answered me immediately about any questions or concerns, she even came out before we got there to make sure the BBQ pit was clean and set up for a weekend of grilling. Was a pleasure to work with her. My partner and I couldn't of asked for a better getaway from the busy and loud city. Thank you

Great place, great host

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed staying here, the cottage was very nice, very clean and very comfortable. The location is wonderful, only a short drive to Chapell Hill or Brenham but very secluded and peaceful. Natalia was great, she responded right away every time I had a question and went out of her way to make sure we were satisfied.

Geat weekend escape!

  • 5 of 5

Great weekend getaway close to Brenham. If your looking for a country getaway this is the place to go!! The overall lay out of the house is extremely functional, and charming. The views are probably the best however, my husband and I enjoyed sitting out on the porch watching the wildlife. It's so peaceful and quiet just a great way to spend a weekend. Also want to mention how great and easy it was to book and work with Angilia the owner. We will most definitely visit again!

Quaint Country Cottage

  • 5 of 5

A girlfriend and I stayed the weekend at Natalia's cottage. It was a very pleasant experience. We had planned on spending the days bouncing around in Brenham. To our surprise, we didn't leave the cottage until 5 pm or so, only to go grab a quick bite in town. Our favorite part was drinking our coffee and having fresh fruit on the back porch. We also took a nice walk down the country road, which is flanked by many ranches, pastures and even an old church. Our last morning upon entering the porch we were greeted by three deer in the distance.

I highly recommend this place. It is so tranquil. We enjoyed the quiet, the beautiful birds and butterflies and abundance of wild flowers. Natalia was delightful, and very accommodating. We were blessed to have stayed at this peaceful cottage.. I want to go back!!!
