About Aloha Ibarcena

Get away into the mountains to enjoy with the family; it will bring you memories you'll never forget!

Aloha Ibarcena purchased this cabin in 2006

Why Aloha Ibarcena chose Waynesville

Peaceful wooded setting and convenient to many places.

What makes this cabin unique

We love to travel and some of our favorite places is the Blue Ridge Parkway and the Smoky Mountains. One of our dreams was to buy a house close to the Parkway and all the other beautiful places around the area like Cherokee Indian Reservation, Maggie Valley, Waynesville (nice restaurants). Our cabin offers access year-round. So, if we like to take a vacation in the winter and enjoy the snow, we go to Cataloochee Ski area. Our boys love it. The same can be said about Summer when we go water tubing.

Guestbook comments from the owner

We had a great time staying at the cabin. The view from the deck is great. The

cabin is very clean & there was plenty of room for the 10 of us. We had no

problems at all. I would recommend the home.

Beautiful place and easy access to great places.

Had no clue what to expect as this was our first time using VRBO. Went for a wedding in Waynesville and four families in all stayed. Was bigger than expected and we had room to spare! Ping Pong, Pool table and more games were an unexpected surprise. It's in a beautiful secluded area and you are minutes from Smokey Mountain shops and eclectic eateries. I would recommend it to anyone.

Great vacation and experience

  • 5 of 5

One of the best places I stayed using VRBO! The cabin is spacious and nicely situated and. The drive to house is thru horse farms and creek and valleys and very pretty. The house was well furnished and gave a feel of 'country' vacation and relief from daily urban humdrum. We enjoyed to the game room on a rainy day. The house was well kept and the porch was awesome and large to look sit back and relax. We travelled to asheville and two waterfalls nearby and they were within 30-40 minutes drive. Owner is supernice; always available and helpful.

The instructions were clear on everything, though i would advise going before sun goes down ; since it is in rural mountain area and can be little difficult to spot at night. We even received information on nearby attractions and convenience store. One more thing, we left our camera at the property by mistake and owner is kind enough to arrange the return. That is going above and beyond for a landlord!

Thanks a bunch for a great stay and cabin, very positive experience. would consider staying again at this place.

very spacious and furnished

  • 5 of 5

the vacation home is a great deal for what it offers! large rooms and plenty of space all around. one of the nicest property we stayed in north carolina mountains.

location is also beautiful with lake and mountains surrounding. The owner is very accommodating. The house had a nice 'country' touch all over and we liked it. The game room was a bonus and enjoyable despite some of the items being dated. Just can not understand from negative reviews that people expect every property to be picture perfect. These folks should stay in a hotel.

If you go, do arrive before sunset; since being rural setting ; it can be bit difficult to locate. Overall we really enjoyed the stay and would highly recommend it. Thankyou Aloha.

I was amused when I went to this house. From the road, with awesome views including a beautiful river which is located right before you get there, all the way to the entrance of the house. The appearance of the house it's just breath taking, a nice rustic style as I expected and beautiful, undoubtedly a very welcoming impression from the first time you see it. It was also very easy to get there, the indications of the owner were precise, and I think is very easy to find it. As far as the owner, she is a really kind and responsible lady, she send you an email from the first day specifying everything about the house, from directions, to garbage policies. I wouldn't know why the person before me wrote such an awful review, obviously this person never paid attention to the email which explained really well the garbage policy, probably a very cheap person who wanted things for free, or was just having a bad day. The house in the inside is very beautiful and spacious. Everything was perfectly cleaned and in place. I didn't see any dust or items out of place indicating that the maid didn't do her job. Everything worked right just as the house advertises. Personally, I was in love with the master room, which has a beautiful restroom, and my kids were so happy with their rooms too. The playroom was so fun, , I had a great time playing pin poll and the soccer match machine with my family . This house is very comfortable and relaxing, I love the BBQ area and the leaving room is really cozy. I think the price is very generous considering the house it's in such great conditions. I will definitely stay again since I really liked this place, and the owner is very nice and honest. Lovely place you should visit it!!!

The worst vrbo vacation rental I have ever had the displeasure of visiting.Beware!!!!!

  • 1 of 5

This house is filthy.Dust a inch thick on everything.Rat traps all over the home in visible areas. My daughter came up the stairs with a rat glue trap with spiders and ants all over it not knowing what it was it got stuck to her!All bed sheets had not been washed because we found a shampoo bottle wedged between the wall and mattress. No way that sheet was changed with the shampoo bottle wedged in between the wall and the sheet. The corners and the top of the baseboard were absolutely disgusting. The kind of dirt that takes a lot of neglect. The game room was the biggest joke of all.The ping pong table was half disassembled and the other half was held up with 5 gallon buckets.Could never get it level enough to play since its broken.Same story with pool table/air hockey. It spins and flips over for each game but wouldn't spin to hockey. The pool table is so bad bowed and unlevel all balls go in only 2 pockets. You can see the same complaint months back letting you know the owner is aware.Fooseball table missing men.Game room is also in a unheated garage. After I booked and payed for home on vrbo owner informed me I would have to leave an additional $100 in cash on counter for the maid.I have never paid an additional fee at any vrbo rental. The total on my vrbo receipt is what I've always paid.Again not informed of this fee till after I payed.Owner also did not tell me till after I paid that we would have to take all our trash to the dump.We checked out on Sunday when the dump was closed. So to get to the dump we would have had to quit sking on Saturday and make it to the dump by 5pm.My friend had to drive with 5 bags of trash for 3 hours in his trunk.1 bag didn't fit and was left which the book at the home says you can leave 1 bag of trash since checkout on Sunday.$20 a bag fee!Was told if it snowed thank god it didn't that no 4x4 was needed.Roads are extremely steep and narrow and no way down or up in snow or ice.The basement bedroom would never get warm.Poorly heated and it adjoins the unheated garage game room.Rat droppings in 1 chest of drawers.White creme carpet very stained in every room.Dirty hardwoods throughout home.Spider webs in closets! We took pictures so it can't be denied!!! Still had a great ski trip and good times with family despite the embarrassment of me choosing this home. This is by far the worse falsely advertised home I have dealt with. The game room should be removed from the ad since all are useless and broken.Maid should be fired!!

Perfect fun getaway

  • 4 of 5

While it was a tad warm for skiing, the house was a great spot for our group skiing excursion at Cataloochee! The kids really enjoyed the games, and everything worked just fine. Thank you, Jeff
