Aloha to the exotic North Shore and your air-conditioned (split air not window units) spacious, smoke free accommodations. Where you can adventure North Shore without a car. Because you can walk or bike everywhere or jump on the bus, bus stop is moments away.

Our guest area provides private entrance to the 1st floor of our home(we live on second floor) and off street parking for one car.

Step out your front door and walk to experience: Three Tables Beach (30 second walk), Waimea Bay (less than 5 minutes), Sharks Cove, enjoy a Hawaiian eating experience from great food trucks only 2 minutes walking to Shark's Cove Grill, North Shore Tacos, Thai Elephant Truck, Pupukea Grill, Foodland grocery store, Coffee Bean Tea Leaf Shop, Sandy's Sandwiches. Also you may walk down the street two minutes to rent a bike, snorkel gear, paddleboards or surfboards. The bike path is a five-minute walk from our home. This will lead you on a bike ride or walk to Pipe Line, Sunset Beach and Ted’s Bakery.

We respect our neighbors and our guest so the only guest that are welcomed on our property or in our home are the individuals on the signed contract. This is for your safety and ours.

Your comfort is our intent so we offer to(1 or 2) guest a comfortable size bedroom (The Waimea Room) with a king bed. The living area is very spacious with a large flat screen TV and the kitchen area is more than sufficient in size. Our guest have their own private outside shower which is supplied with hot and cold water and soaps and shampoos. You have use of a fully supplied laundry area. We are also kid friendly with toys, books, crib and highchair.

So escape to your home away from home and experience all that the North Shore can offer only steps away from Island Retreat.

What makes this apartment unique

Our home is located in a great spot of the North Shore on a cul-de-sac. The guest area is very private and our home is away from all the hustle and bustle of the North Shore. However you may walk down the street a few yards and be in all the action. It is biking or walking distance to Three Tables Beach, Waimea Falls, Pipe Line and Sunset Beach. Also walking distance to the grocery store and Sharks Cove. You may enjoy your total vacation without even renting a car by using the bike rentals down the street or taking the bus, if your main interest is to hang at the beach and hike and bike.

We found this adorable house online and as soon as we arrived we knew the pictures did not do this place justice! Everything is so welcoming and Choca made every moment here even more enjoyable Our family went right across the street to three tables beach and snorkeled just about everyday.There are so many beautiful things to see! One of our favorite sights was Waimea Falls and for breakfast it was straight to Ted's Bakery for the BEST donuts! Debbie and Derek you guys are the nicest people and thank you for letting us play with your wonderful dog for hours! Thanks so much for this wonderful experience we will never forget! You will get business from us again and soon.

Best affordable place on the north shore!!

Great location!!! This place is clean and so beautiful and relaxing. Bed was sooooo comfortable, big bathroom and a huge tub to soak in after a long day of playing :) The full kitchen has everything you need to whip up a meal if you wanted to. Debbie and Derek are the best host you could ask for, very friendly and caring. I don't think we would want to stay anywhere else when we go back to Hawaii. Thanks Debbie. Looking forward to our next visit!

Nice little spot very close to the beach

This spot was very nice. It wasn't like we could "see" the ocean, but you just walked out the door, to the next house and then down a few houses & there was the beach. Made it very easy to go back & forth during the day if you we wanted to. It was nice to be able to wake up early and just walk over there within 3-4 minutes and watch the sun come up...or go down if you like..

The hosts were very nice, personable, friendly & accommodating! My only suggestion would be, and this is nothing against the hosts*** if you are looking for more of a romantic spot, this would not be my 1st choice. Because they live right above you, you can hear them, so to us, it was a bit like having roommates that we needed to be "aware" of. Like I said, nothing against them, we should have looked for something more "private"- it's just a heads up for others, as this spot was perfect for a couple, but not for the romance...

Perfect location for food though, lots around & within walking distance!

Awesome location! So much within walking distance

My wife and I enjoyed our week long stay very much. North Shore traffic can get pretty slow/backed up on busy weekends and beach parking can be hard to find if you aren't there by 10am. This is not a problem at all if you are staying here though! Less than 10 minutes walk and you are on the beach at Waimea Bay. Less than 3 minutes walk and you are on the beach or snorkeling at 3 Tables. And less than 10 minutes walk and you are in the water snorkeling at Sharks Cove. I often got up early and went for a morning snorkel at Sharks Cove before all the crowds showed up and stirred up the water. So convenient!

The Foodland grocery store is also 5-10 minutes walk away, as are a host of excellent food trucks. If you like to go for runs/jogs, then the bike path that starts at 3 tables and runs for 3ish miles out past Sunset Beach is also excellent.

The unit itself had everything we could have asked for. Clean, comfy, AC when you need it, reusable shopping bags, toiletries, grill, outside shower, and more.

Debbie and Derek are great hosts and go above and beyond to answer any questions you have or give you suggestions on what to do. We will definitely be back on our next trip!

Lovely suite with garden close to the beach and amenities

We had a great time here with our baby. We were close to groceries and the beach and enjoyed the comfortable accommodations (including the garden, outdoor shower, and BBQ). Our hosts were friendly but not intrusive. Great place for a couple or small family.

Absolutely wonderful location and accommodations.

My wife, daughter and I spent a relaxing week on the North Shore at, what I would call, the best location available. Well within walking distance of Waimea Bay and Three Tables Beach Parks. Also a short walk to delicious, authentic, local cuisine from several local taco trucks.

Should you decide to venture out, it is just a short drive down to Haleiwa and it's markets and surf shops.

You can also take a short drive north to the famous Banzai Pipeline.

Debby and Derek are the most hospitable and helpful hosts one could ask for. We had a rainy day during our stay and Debby was thoughtful enough to text us with suggestions of drier locations and directions to other locations on the island.

The accommodations are very private, spacious and give you that comfortable feeling of home.

I would definitely recommend this location to anyone looking for a quiet island retreat away from the hustle and bustle.
