Aloha to the exotic North Shore and your air-conditioned (split air not window units) spacious, smoke free accommodations. Where you can adventure North Shore without a car. Because you can walk or bike everywhere or jump on the bus, bus stop is moments away.

Our guest area provides private entrance to the 1st floor of our home(we live on second floor) and off street parking for one car.

Step out your front door and walk to experience: Three Tables Beach (30 second walk), Waimea Bay (less than 5 minutes), Sharks Cove, enjoy a Hawaiian eating experience from great food trucks only 2 minutes walking to Shark's Cove Grill, North Shore Tacos, Thai Elephant Truck, Pupukea Grill, Foodland grocery store, Coffee Bean Tea Leaf Shop, Sandy's Sandwiches. Also you may walk down the street two minutes to rent a bike, snorkel gear, paddleboards or surfboards. The bike path is a five-minute walk from our home. This will lead you on a bike ride or walk to Pipe Line, Sunset Beach and Ted’s Bakery.

We respect our neighbors and our guest so the only guest that are welcomed on our property or in our home are the individuals on the signed contract. This is for your safety and ours.

Your comfort is our intent so we offer to(1 or 2) guest a comfortable size bedroom (The Waimea Room) with a king bed. The living area is very spacious with a large flat screen TV and the kitchen area is more than sufficient in size. Our guest have their own private outside shower which is supplied with hot and cold water and soaps and shampoos. You have use of a fully supplied laundry area. We are also kid friendly with toys, books, crib and highchair.

So escape to your home away from home and experience all that the North Shore can offer only steps away from Island Retreat.

What makes this apartment unique

Our home is located in a great spot of the North Shore on a cul-de-sac. The guest area is very private and our home is away from all the hustle and bustle of the North Shore. However you may walk down the street a few yards and be in all the action. It is biking or walking distance to Three Tables Beach, Waimea Falls, Pipe Line and Sunset Beach. Also walking distance to the grocery store and Sharks Cove. You may enjoy your total vacation without even renting a car by using the bike rentals down the street or taking the bus, if your main interest is to hang at the beach and hike and bike.

We found this adorable house online and as soon as we arrived we knew the pictures did not do this place justice! Everything is so welcoming and Choca made every moment here even more enjoyable Our family went right across the street to three tables beach and snorkeled just about everyday.There are so many beautiful things to see! One of our favorite sights was Waimea Falls and for breakfast it was straight to Ted's Bakery for the BEST donuts! Debbie and Derek you guys are the nicest people and thank you for letting us play with your wonderful dog for hours! Thanks so much for this wonderful experience we will never forget! You will get business from us again and soon.

roomy, great AC, comfy bed, good location

This was our second stay, and will return. Great home base for my surf and beach trip. Well situated in the middle of the north Shore about 10 minutes Northeast of Haliewa just past Waimea Bay.. It is only 170 steps walk (600 feet) to beautiful Three Tables Beach, a quiet sheltered beach with summer snorkeling and scenic beauty (I wish I could include photo). You are within walking distance to Shark's Cove, The Foodland Grocery store, , and nearby food trucks. 1 min drive to Waimea Bay Beach Park, home of the Eddie Big Wave Competition. Just beyond Sharks Cove you get the long stretch of beach from Keiki Beach north to Pipeline, Sunset, and beyond.

Parking for one car is included on the left side of the driveway. It looks like there was room for other cars on the street. The owners live on the upper floor. They are quiet, helpful with information, and have provided numerous amenities. The gated yard includes a large, private heated outdoor shower. We did not use the grill. You can hang your wet beach gear on the outside line to dry. Provided are Tommy Bahama beach chairs and umbrella, a few beach toys, and boogey boards).

Cable TV with DVD player in living room, cable TV in bedroom. Kitchen includes dishwasher, microwave, small toaster oven, large refrigerator.. Modern furnishings and decorations, clean, with very large shower and twin sink large bathroom. The living room/ kitchen is large, the bedroom has king sized bed and closets/ dressers. There is an additional bedroom attached to common area that may be available for use (check with owner). Inside laundry room with detergent is available for use (nice to have clean laundry for the trip home).

The best two features are the bed and the AC, The King size bed is one of the most comfortable I have slept in in my travels. I like it cool. The 2 AC units are in both the bedroom and living and cool the rooms quickly even on hot and humid days. They are very quiet and do not interfere with sleeping or watching TV.

Paradise on the North Shore

We had a fantastic week at this paradise apartment. In fact, it felt like home from the moment we arrived - a spot waiting for our car in the driveway, clean and comfortable space, easy to follow instructions posted on the fridge, and a quick visit from Debby to make sure we were OK.

Here are a few more notes that may help with your plans. There is a keyless entry and two A/C units that you can turn off and on as needed, and the laundry is right off the kitchen. Debby provides “backpack” style beach chairs with an umbrella and plenty of beach towels. There are two beautiful beaches within walking distance, a grocery store right up the road with a coffee bar, and great food trucks.

Great location close to everything we needed and wanted to see. Quick walk to the beaches, grocery store and food trucks. The most beautiful island ever. Gracious hosts were thoughtful of our every need. Well equipped kitchen and bath. Spacious for the two of us. Outdoor shower in private courtyard surrounded by flowers and herbs. Best affordable place on the north shore!!

Great location!!! This place is clean and so beautiful and relaxing. Bed was sooooo comfortable, big bathroom and a huge tub to soak in after a long day of playing :) The full kitchen has everything you need to whip up a meal if you wanted to. Debbie and Derek are the best host you could ask for, very friendly and caring. I don't think we would want to stay anywhere else when we go back to Hawaii. Thanks Debbie. Looking forward to our next visit!
