Lovely apartment with stunning views
We had a most relaxing break in this beautiful apartment. It has the best views we’ve ever had from self catering accommodation in Britain and is without doubt the most luxurious, comfortable and well appointed we’ve ever stayed in. Everything we could have needed and more was provided and Jenny and Tim were so kind. The welcome pack was lovely and such a kind touch. We’d love to return one day, am missing that morning cup of tea in bed looking at the beautiful sea view! Thank you for everything, Jenny and Tim!
Absolutely loved this place. Felt like home
Jenny and Tim are gems. They appointed this flat impeccably. Everything you may want or need including a very generous welcome package. Lots to do in the area and we took full advantage. Take short hike to the top of the white cliffs for some incredible views. We’ll be back.
We enjoyed our holiday last year in this luxurious holiday accommodation so much that we decided to come back again this year and wasn't disappointed.
Such a lovely house with perfect views across the sea. Very cosy and in a great location for visiting the local area. Maria & Tom
A beautifully decorated, tastefully furnished property. Excellently situated, overlooking the bay.
We were greeted, warmly, by the host, Jenny as we arrived. She showed us around her lovely property, explaining how things worked and a little about the area.
We loved everything about the property. All the furniturings were high quality and there was everything you could wish for to make your stay enjoyiable.
There was a very welcome basket of goodies awaiting us in the kitchen, including wine, bread and biscuits, along with lots of other thoughtful additions, such as binoculars, dvds and a cosy blanket in the living room.
We went on a couple of bracing walks following the Saxon Shore path along the cliff tops, stopping for tea and cake in the lighthouse tea shop. Had a very nice meal in St Margaret’s village and one at the Smugglars pub.
Look forward to revisiting the property and area again.
The most beautiful place!
We have had an absolute amazing time at St. Margrets Bay, Calais View. This apartment is stunning! It’s clean, cosy and equipped with everything you need, just like at home! The location is wonderful with amazing views, especially out of the bedroom window! The hosts are lovely! We could’nt have wished for more. One day we will be back! Jessie & Asa
A delightful apartment by the sea.
Tim and Jenny are generous and thoughtful hosts who make their guests feel welcome. The apartment has a relaxing aesthetic and beautiful views of The Channel from the windows. We loved looking through the sea mist at the ships lights at night from our bedroom and the sound of the waves lapping the shore each morning. A short walk down the road takes you to a quaint museum and tea house. Great service, delicious home made food and reasonable prices made this a daily event for us. The history of the area is fascinating and well documented at the museum. If you walk a bit further past the museum and tea room to the lighthouse, you can take in the spectacular views of the White Cliffs. (I sang the song as we walked - Vera Lynne eat your heart out!) A trip to Canterbury is worth the twenty minute drive as is the drive to the Michellan star restaurant at Seasalter. This accomodation is great value and if we're ever in the area of St Margaret's Bay again it would be our choice of accomodation. A great stay for those interested in history, ship spotting, walks along sea cliffs and relaxation.
St Margaret's Bay is a beautiful leafy coastal village in the heart of the famous White Cliffs Country, surrounded by National Trust Land in the Kent Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It is conveniently positioned between the pretty seaside resort of Deal and the Port of Dover and is only 25 minutes drive to the historic City of Canterbury and the Cinque Port Medieval town of Sandwich. The fast train connects to London in 1 hour from Dover and day trips to France via ferry or the Channel Tunnel are an easy option with the accommodation being so close to the port.
St Margaret's Bay is a hidden gem sheltered from the North Winds, ideal for walks encompassing some of the finest scenery in the Garden of England.
Dover, Deal and Walmer Castles are only 15 minutes by car and can also be reached along many of the fabulous cliff-top and coastal walks. The area is rich in historic houses, gardens and is surrounded by many traditional character Kentish villages.
