Excellent. Good location away from the hustle and bustle. Plenty of bars and restaurants. Short walk to cathedral area. Would recommend
Fantastic flat in a wonderful location. We recommend Henrique’s flat completely.
Henrique was a pleasure to deal with. His communication was detailed and he was quick to respond to any of our questions. We loved his flat. It’s perfect for a couple. We highly recommend booking with Henrique.
Great location but very uncomfortable.
Great location but very uncomfortable. My husband and I found the location of this apartment great but that’s pretty much Where it stops. There was absolutely no comfortable place to sit. The small sofa/bed was so low to the floor and so uncomfortable it was hard to enjoy it during our eight day stay. The table only had stools. Chairs would have been nice as would a footstool or higher comfortable sofa. there was absolutely no place to set your drink as there was not a single side table or coffee table. There were no lamps except for one small one in the bedroom. So if you wanted anything other than overhead lighting you were in the dark. The balcony was strictly an overlook and a place to get fresh air don’t plan to sit there and enjoy your morning coffee or a glass of wine. It does look directly at the parking lot. The pots and pans were minimal and of not good quality. Glasses were all miss matched and not very inviting. There also is not an oven only a microwave. The frypan was Teflon and all scratched and would not be something you would want to cook in. The owner had left eggs from the previous guest in the refrigerator and who knows how Long they had been there. The hot water tank had been unplugged so when we got ready to take showers in the morning we had no hot water after our long travel. Also a bucket of dirty water had been left in the hot water room area. The bathroom had no place to put anything. There was no place to put your shampoo or soap or anything in the shower. There is also only one very hard bed pillow for each bed. For a one or two night stay it would probably be OK but for an extended stay We would not recommend. The owner was very nice and sympathetic but it didn’t change anything. It could be a wonderful little spot if some attention was paid to creature comforts and nice kitchen items. It could have been a romantic place to stay but instead we kind of dreaded coming back at the end of the day.
The apartment was perfect for our stay in Porto. The location was great for sight seeing, shopping and dining Henrique was a gracious host and the space was clean and comfortable - we would definitely stay there again!
Thank you very much for your stay
adequate. Close to downtown
Balcony overlooked a parking lot. Would have been nice if a parking spot was available. Beds and pillows hard. Shower head kept falling off .
Bathroom ceiling leaked. No comfortable place to sit.
Kitchen amenities old, not desirable for cooking. No clean cloth or sponge for washing up. Terrible coffee pot. A few small improvements would have made a huge difference.
A felt what was described in the add wasn't quite what I had expected.
Parking was expensive . A car is not a good idea.
When you take bad options and you are against, everything it seems and becomes disgusting.
A small apartment in great location
All communications with Henrique were great and Sandra was very welcoming on our arrival. The apartment is very clean and light, close to the Metro and restaurants but is very quiet. We didn’t use the balcony because of the of the heat ,perhaps a fan would be helpful in the future and the window in the bedroom took two of us to open.We always like something reasonable to seat on after a long day and the couch there isn’t.The tap in the kitchen and the shower bracket were loose but I guess that will be rectified shortly and didn’t effect the function.its a good apartment for a short stay.
The recently renovated apartment in an emblematic building located in the center of Porto, in the historical and Douro River area, as well as the Clérigos Tower, Serralves Foundation, a museum of contemporary art and the Museum of Contemporary Art one of the museums the most visited of the country, where works of art by several contemporary artists are also exhibited alongside the typical flora of the northern region of Portugal in the surrounding Serralves Park.
Foz is another highly tourist area, considered by many to be the most beautiful area of the city, where you can enjoy the beauty of the Atlantic Ocean combined with a beautiful and romantic seafront promenade. Nowadays, the city of Porto receives more than one million tourists a year, having become one of the most visited cities in Europe.
Still, in evidence, there is the Bolhão Market, an architectural symbol of traditional commerce, where are the famous vendemers of the market, characteristics of the city.
The historical complex can be found several shopping centers, squares and historic buildings, which are at the origin of the city, such as the Cathedral Cathedral.
The city has more than 10,000 events annually, from concerts, to theaters, exhibitions or even parties with famous disc jockeys in one of the city's many discos and bars.
However, the biggest fun event continues to be São João do Porto, from June 23 to 24, when thousands of people invade the streets of the city. In this event are the sardines, the basilicas with the respective blocks sanjoaninas, the leek, the hammers and the dancer of the parish.
Several dishes of traditional Portuguese cuisine originated in the city of Porto. The typical dish of the city is the tripe of the Porto fashion, a historical dish that dates back to the Portuguese discoveries, and can be found in many of the city's restaurants. Bacalhau à Gomes de Sá is another typical dish born in Porto and popular in Portugal. Francesinha is the most famous dish of recent cuisine, and consists of a sandwich stuffed with several meats (usually beef, sausage, fresh sausage and ham) and topped with cheese and a special sauce (francesinha sauce). The famous green soup is also a dish from Porto.
The drink that has the name of the city is Port wine and is produced in the Alto Douro wine region (the oldest demarcated region in the world). Port wine is exported internationally from the cellars that are located on the left bank of the river Douro, in Vila Nova de Gaia.
