The house and location were great and very quiet. The group of houses are located in a remote area between Arapahoe and Oriental, which for us was perfect! You do have to drive about 10 minutes to get to the town of Oriental or the store, but privacy and quiet was what we wanted. The house had everything we needed for our relaxing week. The view and the beach were perfect. The pool is an added bonus for the kids.
We would stay here again. Also, Maria is wonderful to work with and very responsive.
Good view, but remote and lacks up keep.
Great water view, nice layout, but the location is quite remote and the upkeep of the rental is lacking. There was one water glass, very cheap cooking pans and cooking utensils. Used the BBQ spatula instead of the plastic one that was peeling apart to cook my eggs in a fry pan with half the nonstick layer scratched off. The grill by the way is a little charcoal one. We couldn't get much details from the rental manager, glad we packed the half bag of charcoal we had from home. Glad we brought our own pillows too. The linens looked like they were as old as the house. Pillows were flat and the fitted sheet had holes. There is a nice little beach and dock. The views from the living room were beautiful. This was the first place we have stayed at that did not have any instructions layed out. Getting the gas fire place on took a little time to figure out. Lots of light switches but multiple bulbs burned out. Had to borrow one of the inside bulbs for the side porch so we could use the grill. Built nice, decorated pleasantly; however the place could be much nicer to stay at it if it was maintained better.
Thank you for your review. It is always helpful to have specifics that focus a rental manager's attention on details that mean most to guests. I hope that you will come back another time so that you can compare experiences and find your feedback was appreciated. The guest guide was a very good point.
My records indicate I did respond to each of your queries and provided a contact number for access throughout your stay. I do hope you feel I was responsive in that sense, and please know I appreciated your stay!
Great views, basic accommodations
The property is tucked behind a farm and directly on the water which makes for fantastic sunrise/sunset opportunities in a secluded surrounding. Beds and AV equipment due for update but the weather cooperated and we were there to explore the Oriental area, not watch TV, so it wasn't a major issue for us.
