Amazing property--wish I could have stayed longer!
I was planning to be in San Jose for a week attending the national figure skating competition at SAP Center. The nearby Marriott was charging $400 a night at the time I wanted to make the reservation, and I won't pay that much for a hotel room, so I went looking at HomeAway.com and found this gem of a corporate apartment with kitchen for about half that price, including fees. My stay was amazing, largely due to how nice the apartment was, the location, and the responsiveness of the apartment owner. Admittedly, I was a little nervous when I stepped off the elevator the first time upon check in, and that was because this remodeled apartment is in an older building, and they haven't yet updated the worn-looking carpeting. But when I opened the door the first time, I saw the apartment was as lovely as the pictures showed and as many of the reviews I read have stated. I actually took pictures of how nicely the apartment was laid out and decorated, because I am looking to update my condo's kitchen and bath at some point, and I just loved the apartment, and I wouldn't mind living there--and I'm really, really picky. The apartment is located right in the restaurant district, and within walking distance of SAP Center, Safeway and Whole Foods. So you can do what I did, and opt to eat in and save money using the provided kitchen, or you can take advantage of the many restaurants in the area for all your meals, or do something in between--it's all up to you and the whim of the moment. Do note that there is not an oven or dishwasher in the kitchen, and in my opinion these appliances are not needed when cooking for one. The coffee maker is a Keurig, and the owner provides coffee supplies and condiments. Ryan, the owner, or someone monitoring messages for Ryan, responded within either minutes or a couple hours at most when I needed something, which was especially helpful. There is a coin-operated laundry room on floors 2 and 3, and the floors and machines are clean and well maintained. There is also a small workout room on floor 2 that has a treadmill, exercise bike and three-station weight machine (as far as I could tell), along with a few lighter dumbbells and one of those balls you can sit on when using the weight machine. I didn't use the workout room on this trip. I am so, so pleased with my decision to book this apartment, and I will definitely stay here again if my travels take me to San Jose! Thanks, Ryan!
Great apartment — beautiful and convenient
Great apartment — clean, comfortable and convenient to museums, convention center, and tons of restaurants. Will definitely stay here again if I’m back in San Jose.

Great location if you like to party!
9 nt stay in August. Pros: It is downtown. I picked it because I like to walk, which I did do. Pictures are correct. Nice furnishings. Kitchen had most items. Nice bathroom towels, even had bathrobes.
Cons: My taxi driver had to leave me on a street corner at 10pm on my arrival date./ I was given the wrong address so we ere unable to find the location. I walked to a hotel, the guy at the door had an idea of where I might be going. A desk would be a good thing to have since this is advertised as a corporate apartment. No information regarding anything, not even the cheapest, nearest parking garage. Kitchen had one 7in pan for cooking, no spatula and Tupperware or baggies for storing food and no dish soap. Scuff marks on some of the walls.
stain on the comforter. Entry door jam hasn't been finished on the inside. A room air conditioner, which means that the tubing has to be attached to the bedroom window so the window did not shut. This lets in all the noise form the bars, which on Friday and Saturday nights were extremely loud, went on until 3 -4 am, the other nights were noisy until around 2am . The air conditioner could not cool off any room and I could not open any other window because the noise would of been louder. The see through roll up blinds did not block out any light at night. Only TV was in the bedroom. The place was "surfaced" cleaned. Meaning that under the couch, bed, behind the items on the counter (I cleaned the counter) and behind the air conditioner were dirty. No , broom, dustpan or mop. Many nights doors were being slammed at all hours of the day and night on the floor I was on. I feel that some of the information on the VRBO web site is misleading and/or missing. In the last year I have been to SJC four times. I've stayed in one & two bedroom apartments in different locations in San Jose. These places had everything I needed and I paid less.
Great location and a great apartment!
