Wonderful Location. 2br/1ba Home in Historic Neighborhood Just North of Downtown!
NOTE: VRBO has changed the layout for rates making it difficult to determine monthly rate discounts...Please click "see more" and scroll to bottom of this description for additional rate info.
Private main floor unit of this charming dutch colonial duplex, which sits on a quiet raised lot in an historic neighborhood between downtown Asheville and Grove Park Inn. This home is just under a mile from downtown.
This is a great location for enjoying all that Asheville offers and having a chance to live like a local! The neighborhood is from the 1920's era - close in yet tucked away so it's quiet and away from traffic. You can walk downtown through easy neighborhood streets or get an Uber ride for around $5-7. There are also several wonderful restaurants right here in the neighborhood and easily a full selection of grocery stores ("Greenlife"/Whole Foods, Trader'Joe's and Harris Teeter about .7m away). Asheville YOGA Center is 4 blocks (.7m) away so it's a great place to stay for their retreats!
This home has just been updated and renovated to restore it to its 1920s charm while also providing modern conveniences. You will have over 1100 sq feet of private space including large living room, spacious kitchen with table for dining, 2 bedrooms each with Queen bed, and a fully renovated bathroom. The home is hardwood floors except for bath, which is new ceramic tile.
Although you will likely be drawn to do the many fun things that Asheville offers, unwinding at the end of the day will be wonderful on the large sectional sofa, enjoying the 40" HDTV - with premium cable as well as Amazon Firestick to enjoy movies through amazon, netflix, etc. One bedroom also has 28" roku tv (set up for streaming).
For relaxing outside there is a front garden area with mature landscaping to surround you and lawn chairs for your enjoyment. You'll have a covered parking spot in the garage behind (it can actually fit 2 cars parked one behind other, depending on size of vehicles). There is also plenty of on street parking so no worries about that as compared to some streets in the area.
Walk up to Grove Park Inn for dining, coffee, drinks and enjoy the stunning views....Easily stroll to Charlotte Street for dining. It's a great neighborhood tucked away but still close to loads of things to do.
NOTE: At this time, this listing is a MONTHLY (minimum 30 day rental) while we compete things for our homestay approval. However, I have listed nightly rates (with 4-7 night minimum) because I am willing to book only those nights in any given month - effectively one booking per a 30 night span, to stay within city's restrictions. I can do this since I frequently use this space myself when not rented - it is not a full time rental. So check with me about any potential dates - some dates blocked on the calendar may be for myself or family/friends, so there may be some flexibility. YOU MAY WANT TO CONSIDER a monthly rental even if you are not going to be in town the full month - compared to hotel rates (especially to 2 hotel rooms), it may still be cheaper!
My standard rate (here is a general idea of rate comparisons for different lengths of visits):
$2,900/month....or $200.00/night ($220 weekend nights)...or 7 nights $1,350
(I am limited to 1 rental/mo)
April thru June
$2,000.00/month avg...or $175.00/night ($185 Th, $200 weekend) or 7 nights $1,107
(I am limited to 1 rental per month)
This is a somewhat new listing for this property, but I have another vrbo listing as well with many great reviews: VRBO # 723258. I try to make things comfortable for guests.
