The condo was amazing! Beautiful view and very clean. The only con was that the it would be noisy at night and that there was never anyone in the office. I didn't receive a parking pass and stopped several times to see about it . There was a 1-800 number to use only.
Thank you for providing feedback about your stay with us at Southern. We apologize for the inconveniences you experienced during your stay. The office at Sea Oats is normally staffed 4 days a week, 9am to 5pm; however, assistance is always available at guest services line 24 hours a day, seven days a week. With our main office in Fort Walton Beach just 1 mile from your location, it would have been our pleasure to deliver those parking passes to you within minutes. Thank you again for your review and we hope you’ll think of us again when vacationing on Emerald Coast.
I was very disappointed in my stay at Sea Oats. One of the people in my group was disgusted by the "mold" in the bathtub/shower curtain, I was shocked at how dirty my husband's feet were after walking around on the floor in condo upon arrival. (We all wore socks or shoes unless in bed). The beach shore was loaded with dead fish when we arrived due to red tide. The stench was horrible. Turns out they don't clean the beach until weekdays. Oh, and due to construction upgrades blocking 6-10 parking spaces the parking was terrible upon returning to condo from an evening out on the town. I had to call to find out where to park and a lady told me the closest public parking was at the pier (1/2 mile away). Fortunately, another person who had the same problem and gave me an alternative place to park where I didn't have to worry about being towed. I highly recommend calling the company to make sure everything is peachy at this place before spending a dime with them.
Thank you for your feedback regarding your stay with us. I apologize for the inconvenience the construction at the property caused you and your party. We try our best to ensure the units are being properly cleaned and do not find cleaning issues acceptable. We ask that you report any cleaning issues immediately so that we can rectify the situation as quickly as possible. Although there is always a potential that Red tide can occur, it is uncommon that Red Tide affects our area. Red tide is more common towards the Texas and Naples/Tampa Gulf regions. This summer's storms pushed the algae blooms to the Panhandle causing the Red Tide you mentioned. We regret to hear about the issues you encountered and hope that you were still able to enjoy your stay. Thank you again for taking the time to share your experience.
