This place is wonderful. Met and exceeded all of our needs. Hope to use it again next year.
The stay at the cabin was wonderful. There were six of us visiting and staying in the cabin for a few days for relaxation and for a friend's wedding in the area. It was the perfect location for us since we love all of the surrounding wineries and things to do on the Leelanau peninsula. The house was immaculate and had plenty of room for all of us. We weren't able to use all of the amenities since we were running around a lot but we did get to enjoy the hot tub once and use the yard for croquet. When we are back in the area I would definitely love to use the cabin again.
Beautiful home and great private yard with hot tub and fire pit.
Absolutely gorgeous place! Perfect location between Traverse City and Sutton’s Bay. Highly recommend this beautiful home. Call one day ahead (not one hour ahead) to make arrangements for the house key.
Great Location, Clean and Comfortable
We had an amazing time visiting the Traverse City area! The house was in an excellent location, with convenient access to downtown, as well as the Sleeping Bear area. We enjoyed the relative seclusion of the location and found the accommodations were clean and well kept. There was plenty of space for 4 adults and small kids. I've absolutely no complaints, although I did caution the kids to not lean on the balcony railing, as it seemed a bit wobbly. That being said, the wrap around balcony was awesome and even allowed for us to quietly spy on a doe and her fawn checking out the backyard :)
The place was a bit difficult to find (google maps doesn't seem to include Bingham Valley Drive), but the owner was very responsive to both emails and phone calls, so it wasn't a big issue.
Overall, a great experience! We will definitely return to the area, as we have a lot more exploration to do, so hoping that this house will be available again.
Lovely, but not perfect
We enjoyed our time in the house and in the Traverse City area, but it was not perfect.
1) We called at 4:00pm to be let in the house 1/2 before our arrival as we had been instructed. For an hour and half, despite several pone call attempts, there was no response. We were frantic that we had been scammed. We were on the phone with the VRBO help center and wondering if we were going to have to find other accommodations for our family when the person arrived to open the house. When the house was finally opened an apology was offered, but follow up emails contained some untruths. We were very disappointed at the handling of this.
2) The lower level of the home smelled very musty. We did not feel comfortable using that level and were glad that none of our party needed to sleep in that area.
3) The hot tub water needed changed.
4) The full mattress had a prominent dip in the middle showing its age. It needs replaced.
We had a wonderful long weekend and the home was lovely, but the issues at the onset of our time really did tarnish our stay.
Beautiful, clean and well appointed.
We very much enjoyed our stay. The house is beautiful and well located halfway between Sutton’s Bay and Traverse City and a block from the bike path. Great home! Great location!
