Summit Vista is aptly named: As unit 4306 of the Summit of Gatlinburg condo complex, it’s perched atop a mountain, providing awe-inspiring views of the woodlands, the Smokies, and the seemingly endless sky. Yet the 3-bedroom condo is also just minutes from the area’s major attractions and offers plenty of attractions of its own.
For one thing, when you stay here you have free access to the complex’s 2 swimming pools: one outdoors for use in the summer and a heated pool indoors, along with 2 whirlpools, for year-round enjoyment.
For another, unit 4306 was decorated with comfort and relaxation in mind. Located on the 3rd floor of a non-elevator building, it includes a private balcony on which you can admire the Smoky Mountains during the day and enjoy drinks in the moonlight at night. The living area’s leather sofa invites you to watch a movie on the flat-panel TV with cable; a built-in daybed by the window is ideal for curling up with a good book. And the fireplace is especially welcoming when you return to the condo after a day of skiing or snowshoeing.
The dining table, nestled by the fireplace, can seat 6. Sure, there are plenty of restaurants within a 15-minute drive, offering everything from steak to seafood, Italian to Cuban, barbecue to fondue. But sometimes it’s more relaxing (and budget-friendly) to eat in. The condo’s kitchen is packed with stainless-steel appliances, gadgets, cookware, and tableware so that you can whip up a meal in no time. And because nobody wants to scrub dishes while on vacation, Summit Vista has a dishwasher too. Even if you do enjoy most of your meals out, you can’t beat the convenience of having a refrigerator to store juice boxes for the kids and wine for the adults.
Summit Vista’s 3 bedrooms are decorated in restful palettes to encourage sweet dreams. The loft bedroom is especially charming, with a skylight enabling you to look up at the stars while you sprawl out on the queen-size bed. Of the 2 bedrooms on the main level, one has a queen-size bed and the other bunk beds, so that all told, the condo can sleep 6 people. Other amenities include 2 bathrooms and free WiFi.
As serene and lovely as Summit Vista is, you don’t visit the Smoky Mountains to spend your time in a condo. The Summit at Gatlinburg’s prime location makes it easy to take full of everything the area has to offer. For instance, Ober Gatlinburg Amusement Park and Ski Area is only a few miles away, as is the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, where you can hike, bike, fish, and ride horses. If shopping is your idea of exercise, you’ll love the Gatlinburg Arts and Crafts Loop, an 8-mile trail of more than 100 galleries, studios, and craft shops featuring everything from stained glass to chainsaw art. Also, just a short drive away in Pigeon Forge, Tanger Outlet Mall offers bargains galore in more than 175 stores.
All this and more is just outside your door when you stay at Summit Vista. Then again, if you want to take some time to do nothing more than sit in the sun listening to songbirds or treat yourself to an afternoon nap, the condo is a great place to do that as well. So book your stay today... before someone else beats you to it! We’re looking forward to seeing you.
