Beautiful Sautee Valley Farm with Creek & Room to Roam

Bedrooms 3
Space 1,800 sq ft
Property type house
Minimum Stay 2 - 3 nights

About the property

3 Bedroom, 3 Bath with Mountain Views

Located just outside the crowds of Helen, Sautee Valley is full of history and is the perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle. Our farm is nestled on the banks of Sautee Creek and accessed from scenic Lynch Mountain Road. Come and enjoy our large creek side pasture to stretch your legs, have a picnic, or let the dogs run and play. Take in mountain views from the porch swings or rocking chairs...roast marshmellows and tell spooky stories over the outdoor fire pit...explore the antiques and history the Valley has to offer.

The "Farm Cabin" is a unique collaboration of rustic design and modern style. We locally milled all the lumber out of native wood specie, and imported heart pine beams featured throughout the home from Charleston, South Carolina that date back to the Civil War. The doors and hardware are reclaimed from a prominent historical home in Athens, Georgia. The lighting is custom crafted by a local artisan. The floors are equipped with radiant heat for maximum efficiency. This cabin is built for entertaining! We have a towering stone fireplace, porch swings on both the front and back porches, and a huge fire pit perfect for roasting marshmellows and taking in the Valley clear, starry sky.

Many folks know Lynch Mountain and visit to take in the views. It is a special place! The area offers fly fishing, horseback riding, zip-lining, biking, and hiking. Not looking for action? Check out the many antique and local artisan shops and museums nearby. There is truly something for everyone in Sautee Valley.

I booked this cabin for my daughter's 15th birthday. My girlfriend came with me so I won't go insane with these 5 teenagers. The upstairs room was perfect for them and the two bedroom down stairs were so comfortable and inviting. There was nothing we needed to bring other than some food, everything else was provided - The views, the river everything was just so peaceful and perfect. Tried booking again and there was no availability. This is my new heaven! I will be coming back for sure but it may be without the kids.

Perfect house for a long weekend getaway

  • 5 of 5

This was the perfect house for a long weekend getaway. It is larger than it appears in the picture, and was spacious enough for three couples, three young children and a couple of dogs. The house is just around the corner from a cute general store, market and small shops, less than 10 minutes from downtown Helen and a short drive to wineries, hiking and fishing holes. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again!

Hands down the most beautiful place in Helen!!

  • 5 of 5

This home is beautiful, clean, and extremely well decorated! The only set back to this cabin was the hot water takes a little longer to get to the shower, and when we got here there was a sewage smell. Other than that... this place is drop dead gorgeous

Beautiful property!

  • 5 of 5

We made the right decision when we chose to spend our vacation in this beautiful cabin! The home is exactly as you see in the pictures. Everything was beautiful. The property is peaceful and serene, clean and well equipped. Extremely close to neighboring towns where you can go adventure and eat delicious meals. It was nice to go out in town and know you were coming back home to this beautiful country oasis.

Super cool place.

  • 5 of 5

We had an awesome weekend at this property. The pictures online show some of the features, but the property is much better in person! I am surprised more reviewers haven’t commented on how cool the interior is - it is a rustic but modern vibe, fun decor, really funky light fixtures, and the bathrooms are very nice. The property is very pretty and I can see how the creek would be fun to play in during a drier summer (water was moving very rapidly during our stay). Property owner was very responsive via email. Couple things to note -

1. I had read a review about a moth ball smell - this was not present and the home smelled great.

2. There is no house number at the top of the drive, so if arriving after dark you can easily miss it. During the day you can see the home and it looks as the pictures show it to be.

3. Water pressure was very low in the downstairs bath (back bedroom) but a little better in the other baths.

4. We loved it and would definitely hope to return!
