1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, full kitchen - in 1890 historic colonial revival home
Get the best of both town and country during your next trip to Philadelphia. Stay in a well-appointed, modern private apartment in a beautiful brick colonial revival home (built 1890) in quiet Lansdowne, PA - minutes from the airport and downtown Philly. A short walk to regional rail (5 stops to Center City), Lansdowne's popular farmer's market, and local restaurants.
Our home was built in 1890 - actually pre-dating Lansdowne, the town in which it's located. While the exterior speaks to historical Philadelphia - the interior has been entirely renovated into multiple apartments with modern finishings. The property sits on .33 acres and includes the main building and a two-story carriage house.
The 1 bedroom apartment available (approximately 500 square feet) is on the second floor of the main house. It includes a living room, bedroom, full kitchen, and bathroom with bathtub/shower. There are ceiling fans in the living room and bedroom. There is also an air conditioner at the ready for hot days. The apartment has XFINITY (Comcast) cable and an Apple TV.
Guests have access to a second floor 1-bedroom apartment (living room, bedroom, kitchen, bathroom), as well as the washer and dryer in the basement. Guests also have access to one off-street parking spot in our driveway. No crazy Philly street parking!
We live here, too, and work from home, so we're more than happy to offer support as needed. We're all very friendly and love meeting new people, but we respect your privacy. If you're social - we'll be happy to return in kind! Otherwise - we're right downstairs if/when you need us.

About Matt Bray
Matt, his wife Jessica, and their firecracker of a daughter Ripley love bringing life back to their 1890s colonial revival home near Philadelphia, PA. When not planning "what's next" on the home to-do list, we're still plenty busy: Matt works for a digital marketing agency. A huge chili pepper fan, he also owns and operates a popular spicy food blog - PepperScale - and spice information site - SPICEography. Jessica owns and operates a very popular Etsy store - Pattern Behavior. In fact her custom pillows are featured in our AirBnB apartment. And Ripley? When our toddler isn't butt-kicking aliens (guess who she's named after...), she's busy bossing Elmo and Cookie Monster around.

Beautiful apartment in a nice quiet area.
Loved the apartment, the furnishings were cozy and the location was perfect!
great host and perfect location
My husband and I wanted to visit historic Philadelphia but did not want to stay downtown. We loved Matt's apartment in a lovely older home in Landsdowne, PA right outside of Philly. Very comfortable apartment and only a 5 minute walk to the local SEPTA station (train to downtown). The train left hourly from the station and we were in downtown within 20 minutes. Matt's apartment was very comfortable and we liked the apple TV so we were able to log into our Netflix account and watch movies in the evening. I highly recommend this apartment.
Matt always answered our e-mails promptly and was easy to work with.
Great unit, awesome owner, very clean, everything fresh an new, any need was handled immediately,
Place was great. Very cool home in convienent location. Easy access an private parking. Can walk to septa transportation into Phila if needed . Matt was helpful and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. Place was bigger than it appears in pictures. Will stay there again when we visit Philadelphia. 5 stars
The best choice ever!
I stayed at this wonderful little place during a clinical rotation in downtown Philly. I LOVED it! I was a little worried about the commute, but it took me 15 minutes to get downtown (driving). I loved how clean this little "home away from home" was! The owners are so fantastic and were so accommodating. One specific day the power went out in the neighborhood, and within 10 minutes the owner was at the door making sure I was ok and gave me an update on how long until it would be fixed. I loved staying here and highly recommend it!
