Lovely apartment in great location of Lisbon.
Communication with the property manager was excellent and they were flexible with our schedule.
The apartment had all we needed plus a terrific view. Looking out over Rossio Square gives you a real feeling for the city.
With views of the castle on your left and the monastery ruins and the Santa Justa Lift to your right, it’s quite spectacular.
You do need to climb steep hills just about everywhere in this town and this rental is no exception. Great holiday rental with an exercise plan thrown in.
Great restaurants are abundant but the restaurants away from busy Rossio on the streets behind the apartment are delicious and very affordable.
Super location. Highly recommended.
Great central location
The apartment is very close to everything. Walk down the hill and you are right at Rossio Square and close to Martin Moniz and Praca da Figueira. Ana was great and hospitable, arranging an early check-in for us after a long flight and with two jet lagged kids. The views are tremendous as well.
This apartment is close to everything. The views are amazing. It’s located in a back alley that within a few seconds of walking you’re in the middle of everywhere.
Views to die for
Bright & airy with breathtaking views. Large enough to completely relax. Full size kitchen with everything you require. Felt safe at all times. Comfortable bed & large wardrobe. Quiet neighbourhood which allowed for a great nights sleep. Washing machine was an added bonus. Step hill & steps to face at the end of each day but well worth it when you got back up to the glorious view. Right at Rossio Square so everything is on your doorstep, from cafes & restaurants to transportation, landmarks etc. history surrounds you. Just head in a different direction everyday & enjoy the adventure.
Central, clean and great views!
Prompt communication from André during booking process. He accommodated our date changes. Ana met us on arrival and was warm and welcoming. Great facilities! We loved having the washing machine and it was handy being able to have breakfast before heading out to explore a magical city. Thank you. Deborah Boyce.
Excellent location in the centre of old Lisbon
This was a fantastic location for our first trip to Lisbon. Close to metro, Rossio train station and walking distance to all of the main sights, with easy access to the fun trolleys, trams, buses and funiculars. Ana and Andre were excellent hosts and the flat had everything that we needed plus a fabulous view. Would definitely recommend this to anyone.

The main feature of Pena is that it is a plateau, from which two main slopes descend, facing Martin Moniz and Avenida da Liberdade. It begins at the north-east of Rossio and extends to Campo dos Mártires da Pátria, commonly known by Campo de Santana. The streets on the two slopes are twisting and irregular, leading to many beautiful alleys and side streets.
Being one of the oldest districts in Lisbon, one is overwhelmed by the diversity of its buildings, constructed in accordance with the successive types of architecture through centuries. Wrought iron balconies from the 19th and the beginning of the 20th centuries can be seen everywhere. In constant dialogue with the wrought iron are the glazed tiles of the façades - a style reportedly brought from Brazil after the 16th century.
Pena is a quiet neighbourhood where one can find the Italian and German embassies, the birthplace of Amália Rodrigues and the place where Luis de Camões is supposed to have lived his last days (Calçada de Santana, nº 139)
It is very close to the famous Bairro Alto, a nightlife area, which can be reached after walking down Rossio or by taking the Elevador do Lavra, the oldest funicular in Lisbon. This 120 year old elevator goes every 15 minutes down to Rua das Portas de Santo Antão, the location of many excellent fish restaurants as recommended by many city guides.
Sintra village is definitely worth a visit and very easy to reach as the train station with direct trains to Sintra (20 minutes) is just 200 mts away from the apartment.
Cascais village is also beautiful and has nice beaches. Really recommended. You can reach it in a fantastic train trip (25 mins) close to the sea. The train station (Cais do Sodré) to Cascais is just 1,5 kms away from the apartment.
Come and enjoy!
