About Ree Beavers
Wind River Property Group is pleased to offer this superb vacation rental in the heart of winter and summer adventure on top of Union Pass - a recreational paradise. We are the Beavers and we moved from Georgia to Wyoming in May 2015 for the love of Wyoming! The breathtaking beauty and wonderful adventure is like no other. We chose to live on top of Union Pass because it's the "DisneyWorld" of the Rockies! We opened Wind River Property Group in January 2016 to share our passion for Wyoming with buyers and vacation guests. We hope to have you as our guests! Wade, Ree & Morgan Beavers
Why Ree Beavers chose Dubois
The owners chose the town of Dubois because of the rustic, laid back charm. A true cowboy town with only 970 residents and NO street lights, Dubois has a local summer rodeo, square dancing, farmers markets and more outdoor recreation than you can imagine. The homesite, on top of Union Pass, was chosen because it's the most sought after recreational trail system in the nation. Guests come year round for snowmobiling in the winter and atv adventures in the summer. Located only 1.5 hours from Jackson Hole and only 40 minutes from the entrance to Grand Teton National Park, the southern gateway into Yellowstone. The cabin is a perfect location to enjoy a western adventure!
What makes this Lodge unique
Bureau of Land Management public lands adjacent to the property and a guest ranch only 1/10 mile away offer many opportunities for adventure just steps from the cabin.

My family and I planned this trip for over a year. We are from metro Atlanta and were looking for a vacation away from everything. The Union Pass Lodge was, without a doubt, the spot we were looking for in Wyoming. The cabin was perfect for our needs. There were 6 of us on the trip, 4 adults and 2 children. There was plenty of room for everyone to kick back and enjoy the space. The pictures from the site do not show you enough for what the cabin has to offer for the guest. The view from the living room is amazing. The decorations are absolutely amazing and fit in perfect with a Wyoming vacation. My boys had the best time in the cabin playing games and just running around outside. The cabin made their first time trip to Wyoming one they will not forget-I hope they aren't spoiled now though.
The cabin offers everything you need away from home. The layout of the living room and kitchen made it great for all of us to talk while eating breakfast each morning and planning our day's activities. One thing that really got us away from it all was...NO WIFI and NO CABLE. This was the best to let everybody unplug, find ways to be entertained, and spend time with each other.
I personally enjoyed the drive to the cabin. Know that if you stay here you are out from anything. Even though the cabin is in a cabin subdivision you are off the main road about 7 miles. Dubois is not that far out and do not forget to go to the Cowboy Café, at least twice-good food and lots of it. Also, Jackson Hole and Yellowstone are a good bit away as well so plan on leaving early and staying late if you go there just watch out for the wildlife on the way back.
Overall the Union Pass Lodge was the best part of our vacation. At the end of the day, many times very late, it was nice to come home to what felt like a home. The cabin is warm and inviting and the more you look around at what is there the more you find in detail. This made our trip one of the most memorable and we will definitely be back again but for the snow. You will not go wrong booking this cabin.
Thanks again Mrs. Beavers!
We are so happy your family enjoyed your stay in our Wilderness Mountain Lodge! It's a fantastic home - one of my favorites on the mountain. I don't believe any other is as well appointed as this one - it's a gem! Seems you found all of our favorites: Cowboy Cafe (with awesome pie, too), the parks - an easy day drive but long day with all there is to see and the cabin itself, of course. We hope to see you again on a return trip! Winters on the mountain are lots of fun as well with 600+ miles of snowmobile trails on the Continental Divide. Come see us again! Happy Trails from one Georgia adventure lover to another! Ree Beavers and the Wind River Property Group team.
Outstanding log home
Well equipped with great view and amenities
Very nice, well appointed relatively high altitude house.
This place was great. Nice furnishings, well equipped and overall nothing to complain about. No WiFi or cable. Cell service fair. Takes about 15 to 20 minutes to get to main highway. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again if I was wanting to be in that area
We are happy you enjoyed your stay at our Wilderness Mountain Lodge! We love the furnishings, location and nearby guest ranch with bar, dining, atv rentals and gas. We hope you enjoyed being unconnected from the outside world and used the time to explore, play, rest and recharge. We hope to see you again when your travels bring you back to Wyoming:) Ree Beavers/Wind River Property Group
There was a fire in 2016, so we could see how close it came to the cabin. Beautiful views and loved sitting outside. We would have liked another queen bed in the downstairs bedroom and a real stand up shower vs tub shower upstairs. Lots of throw rugs that we temporarily moved due to tripping hazard. Essentials provided were more than sufficient. We thought it would be closer to Yellowstone, but it took us an hour and a half to get to the south entrance so we quickly adjusted and found some local things to do. The ATV rental was right around the corner and we thoroughly enjoyed that. We found some trails on the mountain and a bar/restaurant around the corner as well. DuBois has some nice shops and restaurants, including Cowboy Cafe (great breakfast) and Noon Pizza.
We are glad you enjoyed your stay at Wilderness Mountain Lodge! Yes, the fire crept very close to the cabin and it was spared, thankfully. We've taken to heart your mention of throw rugs - something we can change easily. Can't change tub/shower combo but might could add a queen bed. We love guest recommendations! We're glad you fount the atv rentals and got to play on the mountain. Most guests who stay end up choosing Dubois for their adventure instead of Yellowstone and Grand Teton because there are so many awesome things to do in Dubois and we don't have the crowds:) We hope you'll choose to visit us again! Great views, really neat interior
Overall the experience was really VISUALLY beautiful. The craftsmanship, decor and views of the property were amazing. HOWEVER, the property in my opinion is not properly set up for summer. It doesn't have AC which is fine as you are up on this beautiful mountain side and the breeze is great especially at night also there are ceiling fans in all the main rooms. The issue is the bugs are busy at night too and the property does not have any screens. Even when we could open the doors/wimdows just right to create a draft the bugs would get in. We were constantly going between a draft with bugs or no bugs and hot and sticky. I did let management know and they told me the owners use this property in the winter which was not a surprise. It really is something to see and if you avoid the muggy months I'm sure it would be just a little warm and some bugs vs our very sticky and mosquito ridden experience. I also notified the staff that the linens needed to be replaced. The pillows in the bunk room were stinky to the point of going without a pillow as to not have to smell them. I definitely recommend ATVs. That was an awesome experience as the property has trails all around that go right through Sheshone national park. We seen snow in July! Wild flowers and wildlife! There are not an established laws with these so we were able to bring all of our kiddos. Something they'll never forget.
An amazing mountain top getaway
This was by far our favorite rental EVER! The cabin was amazing and very secluded up on the top of the mountain. We had a fire in the pit every night and enjoyed the view and the serenity. We will definitely be back again!
We are so glad you enjoyed your stay at the Wilderness Mountain Lodge. It's a favorite of ours and we're happy you chose to spend your time in Dubois with us. We look forward to seeing you again soon! Happy Trails, Wind River Property Group
