Spectacular mountain lodge w/ stunning views of Lake Dillon, Dillon Marina, Breckenridge, Keystone, & Ten Mile Range. Custom built great room w/ log timbers, 20 foot ceiling, pecan wood floors, stone gas fireplace, and huge windows. Gourmet kitchen has pecan cabinets, ceramic tile floor, and granite counter tops and breakfast bar. A large glass dining room table sits just off the kitchen and the great room opens onto a huge wrap around deck that includes a luxury hot tub, dining furniture, and a wood swing. The master bedroom has lake and mountain views, access to the deck and hot tub, custom Aspen log bed, and matching dressers. A large master bathroom has a walk-in closet, 2 sinks, double shower, and a laundry room. The house has 3 additional queen bedrooms, a loft that sleeps 3, two pullout couches, a second kitchen, a lower deck, a second living room, and a newly renovated walkout basement with a TV, ping pong table, and shuffleboard table. The house also includes a 2 car garage
The lodge is located on Gold Run Circle in Dillon, which runs along Lake Dillon and meets the bike path that goes around the lake. Our home is just a short walk to the Dillon Marina, playground, amphitheater, and restaurants. While there are other homes with lake and mountains views, the vast majority of them are above a very loud, busy highway that you have to cross to get to the lake. There is no stop sign or stoplight, so it isn't safe to walk. To the contrary, our home is on a quiet circle that connects to the bike path around the lake, so you can walk to things much more safely.

About Sean Butson
My wife and I grew up in Texas and Maryland, respectively, but we both learned to ski at young ages. We now live in Maryland, but are both outdoor enthusiasts and have fallen in love with the Colorado mountains due to the year-round outdoor activities. Whether it's skiing at 7 world class mountains, hiking the continental divide, sailing on Lake Dillon, golfing at 5 exceptional courses, or biking around the lake, Summit County, Colorado has it all. We spend as much time as we can at our mountain lodge, but enjoy making memories for others when we can't be there.
Sean Butson purchased this House in 2006
Why Sean Butson chose Dillon
While vacationing in Colorado in 2006, we casually looked at houses one day. We were not in the market to buy a home at that time, but wanted to someday and thought it would be a good time to start getting familiar with local real estate. Once we saw the view from the great room deck, however, we were hooked. My wife and I have traveled all over the world together and I can tell you that we have never seen a view like the one of Lake Dillon with the Ten Mile Range in the background. We knew right then and there that this would be our mountain lodge for many years.

What's not to like
We really enjoyed our stay. The location is close to the City Market Plaza but feels quite private. The view is fine. The hot tub was perfect.
There was more than enough space for our party of 7 (two couples), with one couple staying in the upstairs master with a steam shower and the other couple staying in the separate wing. The house was well equipped and the pantry was reasonably full. We had dinner and breakfast at the house frequently and could cook and seat 7 without breaking stride.
In short, the house was as pictured but better in many small ways that over all hugely enhanced our stay.
Stunning Views, Beautiful Home
The lodge was as advertised and the views are more spectacular in person. Very relaxing setting, would return in a heartbeat.
Everything meet and exceeding expectations
Wonderful Dillon Home
Our visit to Dillon was wonderful! This home is perfectly located for an easy walk to the marina/amphitheater and restaurants. Great views beautiful home. The best part for us was how much our little ones enjoyed it. Lots of toys and room to run around! Sean was easy to work with and very responsive.
Thank You For Giving Us Such a Great Home to Create Memories In
Thank you so much for creating such a warm and welcoming home for us to stay in on our annual family trip. The views alone are breathtaking and made it hard to venture out. When we did do some exploring and went on some incredible hikes to Lily Pond and Sapphire Point. We rented bikes up the street and biked around the lake to a spot where we managed to see two bald eagles. We also kayaked in Frisco and spent a day at Rocky Mountain National Park.
Even though we only stayed for a week, we could have easily stayed for a month. Whether that's because of the beauty of Colorado or the love and joy we got from all being together is unclear. But one thing that is clear is that our time here together was unforgettable.
Thank you for giving us such a great home to create these memories in.
Thanks so much for the use of your beautiful home! We all enjoyed this area of Colorado so much and having a place to come "home" to every night made our family Christmas even better. Your house is so comfortable and had everything that we needed.
