About Jason Spears
Myself and My Parents have owed this 30 acres for 20 years. Currently Mom and Dad live just across the property in their own home. I live with my wife and 4 children 2 miles east. I'm a small business owner. I also am founder and President of Murphysboro Soccer, Inc. I am an avid outdoorsman who know about every square inch of the region and can point you in the right direction of what activities you may be into.

Great location, comfortable,clean
We fished Kincaid, House was really nice.Jason was very accommodating, you feel like your on your own little piece of heaven.
Great guests. Left house like no one had even been there. Please come back and visit again.
Very clean and quiet
The house was very clean, well kept and quiet. Suggest the owners add a clothes iron and ironing board. Had some communication issues, but called VRBO and they were able to get in touch with the owner. Nice place to stay when in town.
What a nice property. The place is within walking distance of the Marina, making it perfect for fishing trips. We used it for SIU graduation. Though 14 miles or so from the University, it is an easy drive on great roads to get there. Murphysboro, just 5 or so minutes away, is a nice small town with more than a few choices for food and a great liquor store for the craft beer folks. And the big bonus is 17th Street BBQ. I have been to the Salt Lick in Driftwood, (won't wait in a one to two hours to eat anything, including Franklin's in Austin), and it compares extremely favorably. Owner Jason Spears was on top of everything, .... very responsive. All in all, a great place to stay. Should mention that it is recently remodelled, the kitchen is very well appointed and the whole place is decorated nicely. Much more so than many properties I have rented elsewhere.
Place was great! Owners were terrific. Really good lacation to kinkaid boat launch.
Thanks for having us!
This place is a winner! It has plenty of room for people to sleep or just hang out. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need to cook and a big table to sit & have a conversation. The beds are very comfortable. The chairs are comfortable to sit on too!
The hosts were extremely helpful answering every question I had and very quickly to boot.
Our favourite part of our visit, the goat Chester.
I highly recommend renting this home. We really enjoyed it.
We are tucked away on the Northern edge of the So Illinois Wine Trail. Numerous Winery's and Brewery's can be found from just a couple miles away up to 25 miles South of our location. Murphysboro is found just 3 miles east and Carbondale 10 miles east. Plenty of Dining can be found in all directions. Especially some in the middle of nowhere restaurants that are a must go!
