3b3b ranch style home, great neighborhood, wood burning fireplace, spacious yard

Beautiful 1956 ranch style home, approximately 1/2 mile from Broadmoor Hotel/Resort; off of Lake Avenue. 3b3b home, beautiful remodeled large kitchen with breakfast bar which was made from a large split log, kitchen opens to the fireplace (wood burning) room with log mantel, log sides and beamed ceiling. Large bay of windows looking out to back yard and covered patio area. The Family Room has a "coffee bar" and seating for our guests and their visitors. The Front porch is covered and looks out on lawn and the serene neighborhood of well-kept homes and friendly neighbors.

This home was purchased by us (Thomas and Niki) as our final "forever" home. Our home is fully furnished with bedroom sets in each bedroom, a wonderful high top unique dining room table; the bar in the LR has been in a few of our vacation rentals over the years, having "traveled" from Texas to Colorado a number of years ago.

Please enjoy our home and our hospitality, we love the vacation rental business and the wonderful guests who have stayed in our homes in Denver and in Colorado Springs.

About Niki Parks

Thomas and I have been purchasing, remodeling, decorating and offering our homes to our guests (national and international) in Denver and Colorado Springs since 2013.

Thomas recently passed away, suddenly, and I (Niki) continue to manage our VRBO business/homes which we both have loved and enjoyed. Thomas and I established a great team of individuals over the years to assure our homes are all well-kept for our guests.

Thomas's memory is in each one of our homes and Elm Circle completed our purchase of homes.

Elm Circle was purchased and we nicknamed it our "Forever" Home.

Elm had such a warm feel when we arrived, we both immediately liked the home and knew it was going to be our "Forever" Home.

We want our guests to enjoy our home, The Broadmoor, the beautiful golf course, lake and the Tavern at the Broadmoor, Thomas's favorite place for oysters on the half shell and Oysters Rockefeller

W O W !! - is the best description for this remarkable property.

I stayed here with my two brothers while attending a family function in Colorado Springs and Denver. If you are looking for a (much)-better-than-hotel place to stay that is convenient to everything, yet remarkably comfortable and peaceful, then this is the place for you (as long as I am not trying to get those dates too!). The house is immaculate with care given to every detail and item you may need during your stay. All the local family members had to come see the place and loved it (while be quite envious of our selection). Thanks Niki, for letting us visit your great "Forever Home" and letting us share your marvelous creation.

Not What I Had Hoped

When I arrived, it was bitter cold in Colorado Springs. I had to use the garage number pad to enter which was fine but there is no garage door opener. So every time I arrived or left the property, I had to exit the car in bitter cold and open or close the garage with the number pad. The television in the family room did not work. After an 8 hour drive, I just wanted to relax and had to call, first the owner, who didn't know how to get the TV working but then the housekeeper who finally told me how to change the inputs. Very old TV with no guide or premium channels. The TV in the living room didn't work at all. The owner said she had never tried that TV. I made some dinner and went to put dishes in the dishwasher but it was 100% full of clean dishes. I guess it was my responsibility to empty the dishwasher and put away the previous guests dishes. If you need to work on your computer for any length of time be warned. There is not a single desk or even regular table in the entire house. Everything is bar height with bar stools. Yes, even the dining room table and chairs. Very difficult to sit at a bar stool for several hours working on a computer. All but one or two drawers in the Master were full of stuff. Clock in the Master was 2 hours off which isn't a big deal but it says a lot about how much they care about your stay there. On the 3rd day there, it warmed up so I thought I would use the outdoor grill. Unfortunately, there was no propane so the grill didn't work. The best part of the house was the yard because it was large. Great for my Labradoodle. I wouldn't even think about staying there again. In fact, I left a day early even though I had paid.

The Villages, FL

Really nice place but could use some maintenance

Really loved the house and location - Broadmoor area, fireplace, great kitchen, 2 master bedrooms, 3 baths... We would like to mention the following:

1. The mattresses in the two master bedrooms REALLY need replacing! Just spend some of the rent we just paid and buy a couple foam mattresses from Costco. They are not expensive and would make a big difference in comfort.

2. There is no tv remote in the third bedroom. This was a bummer for my sister who stayed in that room.

3. The plumbing in the shower of the middle bathroom is not adjustable. It’s either burning hot or cold. The other two shower/tub faucet could be replaced or adjusted.

4. Thank you for leaving the condiments in the kitchen. You could, however, provide better non-stick cookware. Most people don’t know how to fry/sauté in your kind of pans. The two smaller non-stick frying pans are so scratched up, they should be thrown away. Also, you could use a couple baking sheets as there were none to be found.

Other than the above, we spent a wonderful Christmas week at your beautiful home with our family. The Christmas lights in the surrounding neighborhood were absolutely gorgeous. We really enjoyed the beautiful fires in the fireplace ... loved making s’mores. I spent all Christmas Day cooking a wonderful Christmas dinner. Thanks Niki for a wonderful week!!!

Owner's Response: Kathy - I am glad you enjoyed our Broadmoor home during your Christmas vacation in Colorado. To address your concerns, mattresses and box springs are 1.5 years old and we purchase mattresses which are comfortable for most guests. We purchase firm mattresses as the softer mattresses seem to be issues for our guests. We have not had guests indicate our mattresses/beds were uncomfortable except when we had soft mattresses. The home is an older home and we decided to retain the main bath as our "retro" bath. Thus instead of 1 handle to adjust hot/cold, it has 2 which have to be adjusted to the temperature each guests prefers, prior to taking showers. The Master bath and the 3rd bath were added/remodeled within the last 5 years. We have asked our property maintenance professional to check all baths to assure hot/cold works properly in each bath. Due to our home being a "rambling" rancher, it takes more time for hot water to "travel" from hot water tank to showers, which are at each end of the home. He suggested letting the water run a few minutes prior to entering the shower, assuring temperature is acceptable. We provide stainless steel pots/pans rather than teflon, due to teflon scratching and having to dispose of them, once scratched. Our housekeeper disposed of the teflon pans this morning. Stainless is much hardier when being utilized by many different guests. I am not sure what happened to our baking sheets, thus will be purchasing new ones for our home. Again, thank you for your feed back - it is of the utmost importance to assure future guests have a great experience in our home. Niki

This was lovely home with plenty of room for 2 families. The kitchen was well stocked with all the appliances and spices we needed to cook a full Thanksgiving Feast! The location is very convenient to shopping and restaurants, as well as trails and sights to take in. We saw some deer casually strolling in the neighborhood as well. We would all recommend this location for a family get together in the Colorado Springs area. Thanks Niki!

Nice updated home near the Broadmoore

We loved staying in this house. It was nicely updated and fit our family just perfect. We spent everyday sightseeing and hiking the area, and it was nice to return to a place my kids could spread out from each other and relax. Two living room areas was a nice touch for the kids gaming options. We would return again if we ever get back to the springs.
