Privacy fences on both sides with enchanted rock gardens. A canoe for paddling across to National Forest for hikes to discovering natures gifts. This is a two story Cedar home with three bedrooms with Wi-Fi and Fax available for those who need to do a little work while vacationing. Two full baths and a hot tub for after your hike or lake play. I personally love this place because of the amazing nature benefits right out the back door. I have sold over 19,000.00 in wild choice edible mushrooms found here and am so grateful for the knowledge I have gained from being so close to the peace of the woods. This is truly a vacation home that fills me with peace and tranquility everyday of my life. I am so glad to be able to share such a gift. In the front yard we have two apple trees, a pear, peach and fig tree to eat from. We also offer a small cottage garden to supplement your dinner if you desire organic salad greens. THE KALE is READY!!! Our back yard has been Certified as a Wildlife Habitat by the National Wildlife Federation, so even if you can not get across the lake to experience nature there, you can still find that same beauty in the backyard, sitting on a swing for two. The geese and wild mallard ducks will be an ever present thing, bringing their babies for feeding so check the shed for bread to feed them! Sorry if they make a mess but we have a hose and the rocks are easy to spray off! lol. We used to have grass and decided the rocks made a lot more sense because of the waterfowl. We Love Nature!!! In the back we have two fig trees and two peach trees. A Fire Ring for enjoying the evenings. Our Oak Tree is approximately 300 years old. The artifacts in our rock garden are indicative of the history of the Native Americans that have lived in this area for over 13,000.00 years. Please educate your children about these gifts and be considerate of our love for these things. Just 15 minutes from home is downtown Hot Springs, offering Racing and a Casino, Hot Springs National Park, Zip Line adventures, Miniature Golf and Regular golf, Crystal Digging, Panther Valley Ranch with The Witness, Magic Shows, Spas and Breweries to taste and feel the artisans wares in the Valley of the Vapors. The 4 and 5 star restaurants in our area include Back Porch Grill, Belle Arti, Luna Bella, DeLuca's, Steinhaus Keller, The Hungry Greek, Café 1217, Fisherman's Wharf, and J & S Italian Villa. On the main Channel of the Ouachita River, and upstream of Lake Hamilton, Our house is 1/2 a mile from Blakely Dam so we receive the most amazing fog drifts from the cold water. The Walleye , white bass and stripers are spawning now. Some of the best fishing on the lake, we see Trout, Bass, Stripers, Perch, Catfish, and a certain fish we call megaldon. lol. I actually caught a 10 lb. catfish off the couch! When it is warm, after a rain, be sure to grab our National Audobon Field Guide to Mushrooms and see how many you can identify across the Lake. Caution, do not eat mushrooms unless you are 110% sure you know what they are. We have WiFi available so you can surf the Web for extra confirmation or I can leave the number of Arkansas's President of the Mycological Society, Jay Justice. He is great for local mushroom forays around the state . We do have central heat and air and you are welcome to whatever is in the fridge or freezer. Mi casa es su Casa. Enjoy the lake! If you have a boat, feel free to bring and tie up to dock. We have a stationary dock but no floating dock. You can use Pride Landing one mile from our house. It is a community boat launch. There is a Theme and Waterpark about 20 miles from here. Magic Springs and Crystal falls. Check it out. The garden is accessible from the back yard lattice gates. Great scuba diving off the dock if you like that too.

About Veronica Sammons
My husband, Gary was born and raised here in Hot Springs, he knows all the cool places to explore. He and I have been together for 13 years and he inspires me more every day I get to listen to what he knows and discover the world around us and see our inner child remain forever young running the woods together.
Veronica Sammons purchased this House in 1999
Why Veronica Sammons chose Hot Springs
The vaulted ceilings allows you to see stars from your bed in the master bedroom. There will never be houses across from here. We have a neighborhood watch to ensure your safety and security of your stay and vehicles. Parking is limited to three vehicles only.
What makes this House unique
The windows in the master bedroom allow you to see shooting stars at night. We built a loft in the master bedroom to be able to look at our rock gardens from the roof. The swing on our 300 year old oak is a fun way to play. The fire ring allows you to really enjoy the river on cold nights. The hot tub on the deck is a perfect way to end an evening.

We stayed a very rainy weekend and it was fabulous. Quiet and beautiful. Loved it!
We absolutely loved the house and the view! We had a great time and we will be returning!
Had a great time! Loved the scenery, cabin, and the area. The owners also sent us back a blanket our daughter left. So nice!
Beautiful location; great host
We so loved this place and it's perfect location on the Ouachita River. We could have stayed forever watching the river flow by, the birds and squirrels in the backyard, listening to the distant sounds of boats going by. We loved looking at all the amazing rocks and artifacts collected and each new discovery led to more conversations. The master and guest beds were very comfortable though I recommend the air mattress over the futon in the downstairs office if the extra bed is needed. Our hosts were so gracious and helpful and we look forward to future chance to return!
This was truly a piece of paradise for our family. The home was our retreat and outdoors was an experience to be treasured. Don't pass up the opportunity to stay here. Veronica was so generous, helpful and responsive. Her description of the experience waiting for you is spot on!
Comfy, cozy, canoeing perfection
Two thumbs up!
Anything you can do in nature is right out your back door. Just six coves up from the house is Owl Creek. So much beauty and Mountains to climb on the way if that is your bailiwick. You can swim, fish, scuba dive all from your dock. Ready for Dinner, you can access several 3 to 5 star restaurants from boat. the Dam is just .5 miles upstream and the fog that roles into the yard from the cold water of the lake is intoxicatingly beautiful. Hike the woods across the lake and discover the earth and your inner child.
