Perfect base camp for South Dakota adventures

  • 5 of 5

We stayed for a girls, trip for 5 nights while in South Dakota ot was a great base for us very close to Custer State Park which was our main destination. The bathroom was very large which was fantastic for 3 girls. The farm was beautiful and our host greeted us with farm fresh eggs! Scout, their dog was very sweet and would greet us in the morning and when we returned. The only slightly negative is that it's more of a studio setup without a walled in bedroom. We would definitely recommend this cabin.

Great Views; Great Location

  • 5 of 5

The cabin is very conveniently located to Custer, Wind Cave and all the awesome sights in the Black Hills. My sister, her daughter and myself were able to explore the area from this comfortable open concept cabin. It was clean and the furniture was comfortable. The view from the cabin was awesome, we saw deer and other wildlife across the road from our chairs on the front porch. Lisa and Doug were great to work with and I felt that the communication was timely and provided all we needed to get in to the cabin, in advance of arrival. We had a great time, and hope to come back to stay again! We loved Scout and the chickens!! Thank You!

A great getaway from it all

  • 5 of 5

The cabin is a great place to stay, it was perfect for my family of four. Only about a twenty minute drive into Custer, it was the perfect location for the day trips we took. My daughters loved feeding the chickens in the morning and Scout (dog) was very friendly toward all of us. I would definitely recommend this place for someone that wants to get away from the busy and crowded areas that end up near towns.

Enjoyed the stay

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our stay here. A nice place in the country away from the busy cities. Close drive to all places. A large cabin with a nice kitchen. It was nice to come back to the cabin at night and make a nice supper and sit down at the table with the family. I enjoyed sitting on the porch and watching the sunrise. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a place to stay around the Black Hills area.

Thanks again Lisa , Doug and Scout

And thanks for the fresh eggs

Lisa was so friendly and easy to work with. She was very accommodating when we needed anything. The cabin was relaxing and roomy after a long day hiking and sight seeing. And the fresh chicken eggs were a nice touch to our morning breakfast. My boys miss Scout already!
