Why Richard Cahela chose Apollo Beach
I selected the waterfront community of Apollo Beach for my home due to its proximity to all the big city amenities that Tampa and St. Petersburg have to offer, while being removed from the hustle and bustle (and traffic) of the downtown city life. When turning into Apollo Beach, you can almost feel life's stress diminish as you pass lagoon and canal homes lined with sailboats knowing that a carefree, relaxing nautical lifestyle awaits you.

My girls and I rented the house for a bachelorette party. It was such a great space! Plenty of great beds to sleep on, the pool and hot tub are very nice, and it was amazing to sit out on the dock to have a cup of coffee every morning. The house feels very private. We loved kayaking around the bay. Rick was very responsive and helpful. The space was clean and there was a 4 car driveway for folks to park in. Overall I highly recommend this spot especially for larger groups who don't want to be right downtown. My only very small recommendation would be to add another bin for recycling in the kitchen, that's it! :)
We just returned from the most wonderful stay at this beautiful vacation home. It couldn't have been nicer and the owner, Rick, went well out of his way to make sure we had every thing we needed to have a great time. It fit 3 adults and 2 kids (13 and 10) very comfortably with room to spare. The pool, jacuzzi, kayaks, fully equipped kitchen, comfortable beds and many other features made our vacation experience delightful. The only downside was that it was very hard to leave!
Thank you Colleen. I'm so happy that you enjoyed your Florida vacation, and that my home exceeded your expectations and did its part in helping to make your stay a memorable one. It was a pleasure hosting you and your wonderful family. I hope to see you all again on your next visit to The Sunshine State!
Wonderful Spring Break Trip
We had an absolutely wonderful, relaxing vacation in Apollo Beach! This is a beautiful house with all the amenities we needed and it comfortably fit our family of 6. Rick was very helpful in making recommendations for beaches, restaurants and shopping. He also was instantly available to answer any questions we had. We would definitely stay here again!
Perfect for a girl’s trip!
We had a wonderful girl’s trip at Rick’s home! Prior to arrival he furnished us a multitude of ideas and suggestions for places to visit during our trip. Upon arrival he met us at the house and gave us a tour and instructions on the use of hot tub, dock, kayaks etc. Also, he provided a gift basket which we quickly used for our dinner the first night - it was greatly appreciated! He had several brochures available including area restaurants which we enjoyed immensely!
The home was very clean, had everything we needed, and the beds were comfortable - there were plenty of bathrooms for our party of five! The dock area was perfect for morning coffee and quiet time, enjoying the sun, watching boats coming and going from the marina and the dolphin antics were an unexpected treat! The use of the kayaks was an added bonus! There was plenty of outdoor space with chairs and loungers and the hot tub was easy to operate (the weather was too cool to swim however). We enjoyed the beauty and ambience of the backyard area and especially the screened back porch. In other words, we enjoyed this home very much and would highly recommend it!
Thanks Joyce. I'm glad that you and your friends had an enjoyable vacation and were able to make great new memories while at my house. Thank you also for taking such good care of the place and being wonderful guests. You're welcome back again anytime!
What a hidden gem of a vacation property. Beautiful house situated in Apollo beach. Rick is a fantastic host and will bend over backwards to make you feel at home. Plenty of room to stretch out and feel comfortable. You can play in the hot tub or pool (pool not heated) or go kayaking in the water out back. Not far from Tampa (Busch Gardens/Adventure Island) or anywhere else. We will be definitely staying again soon. Don't hesitate just book this house, you'll love it.
Thank you Paul for the great review. I'm glad that you and your family enjoyed the house and local Tampa Bay area during spring break. You were fantastic guests and I look forward to seeing you again in the future.
Gorgeous home, relaxing stay
Had a wonderful stay at Apollo Beach despite not great weather. The home was neat, cozy and the kitchen was very well stocked with good utensils, tools and cookware, something in previous rentals that had been lacking. Beds were comfortable, view was great, hot tub came in very handy in the cold weather. Fishing off the doc was great too! Rick was very welcoming and helpful, excellent communication and we really want to return!
