High up in the hills of Vista sits an amazing, quiet, spacious, half-acre residence with incredible views of the hills of Vista and the city lights below at night. It is completely renovated with five newly decorated bedrooms, one of which is a 20’ x 20’ casita that doubles as a game room with shuffleboard table, bumper pool, giant TV, full size refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, and private bath. The pool area is located down 14 steps from the house with lush landscaping and beautiful trees like Pindo palms, Queen palms, Phoenix Roebelenii, Sago, Plumeria, and many other exotic plants. Our brand new hot tub has its own large platform adjacent to the pool (being put into service 9/1/18). With many places to hang out, it is easy for us to host 20 plus guests without crowding. We work very hard to maintain our five-star rating. Five large TV's, high speed internet, coffee, Keurig, coffee pot, a fully equipped kitchen with condiments like sugar, salt, pepper and other spices, filtered water and ice, shampoo, creme rinse, body wash, iron, ironing board, hair dryers, washer and dryer, laundry detergent, paper towels, tissue, crock pot, waffle iron, kitchen aid mixer, blender, highchair, Pak n Play crib, and much more round out the amenities for a fabulous stay! We’re centrally located to Legoland, Disneyland, The Moonlight Amphitheatre, beaches (approximately 7 miles), and a 45-minute drive to the airport. Welcome!

About Nannell & Harold Rogler
Your hosts are Nannell and Harold. We met, fell in love, and married in the early 80’s. We separated some years later, but got re-married about seven years ago and have lived happily together ever after! Nannell raised orchids and owned flower shops in Santa Monica, Century City, Rancho Bernardo, Mission Valley, and Vista. Harold became a Professor, wrote five technical books, and now uses his PhD as Chief Water Boy here at Vista View when he’s not teaching.
Nannell & Harold Rogler purchased this House in 2003
Why Nannell & Harold Rogler chose Vista
It is a wonderful place to be -- like a private get-a-way. For what you get, the prices are very reasonable. It’s beautiful, spacious, and quiet. The beds are very comfy and the hospitality is unsurpassed! It’s near many San Diego, Oceanside, Orange County, and Los Angeles attractions that can be visited any day and still let you return to the serenity of Vista View at night. Our bedroom arrangements are as follows: The Master Bedroom has a King and Queen (sleeps 4), 2nd BR on 1st floor has a Queen (sleeps 2), the yellow BR on 2nd floor has a Queen (sleeps 2) and a bunk bed with a twin on top (sleeps 1), and a full on the bottom (sleeps 2), the green BR on 2nd floor has a King (sleeps 2) and a bunk bed with two full beds (Sleeps 4) and a trundle underneath (sleeps 1). The 5th bedroom doubles as a game room with a Queen sleeper sofa that has a soft memory foam mattress (sleeps 2) and a rollaway twin (sleeps one). The Living Room has another Queen sleeper sofa with an ordinary mattress (sleeps 2).
What makes this House unique
Hundreds of fiction and non-fiction books from Harold’s library are available to read at your leisure while listening to and watching the many birds all around. Need anything? We love to help!

Nannell Was AWESOME Very Welcoming. Greeted Us Upon Arrival. Made My Family Feel Right At Home. Beds Very Comfortable, Plenty Of Cooking Essentials. Grill Ready To Go. Located In Very Nice Neighborhood. Thank You Nannell. Best Wishes
Very welcoming home!
We were in town for a family wedding. This home was absolutely perfect. Enough space for all of us (common and personal.) The yard was spectacular, the pool area very inviting, the bbq and outdoor dining space were thoroughly enjoyed.
Nannell and Howard - thank you for helping to contribute to our fantastic family weekend!
Excellent property and an even better host!
Nannell was so responsive and nice! She was available to answer any questions and was so easy to work with. The house is an amazing place and so spacious! Our group loved the house and cannot wait to stay here again!
Very nice property. Great location. The best beach, is Oceanside Harbor Beach. Would stay again.
Great owners. Great location and the home was fantastic. Our family(21) loved the pool. Hot tub coming in Sept. will be a great addition. The home couldn't be better. Large kitchen, two refrigerators, and two stoves for cooking large meals. Kitchen cupboards need to be cleaned out to provide more space for food items for those who are staying at property. We loved the kids beach chairs that were provided. Some adult chairs too were great. The pool is really nice. We spent many hours in the late afternoon swimming after a day at the beach. Overall, a great experience. We would return again if we have a family reunion in Oceanside again.
These were great guests and eleven adorable todlers to teens all very well behaved! They obeyed all the rules and left the place in good shape! Thanks for your suggestions!
Would stay there again
Beautiful property nestled in the hills with amazing views. Loved the detached game room. Perfect house for large groups traveling together. We only had 7 of us, there was plenty of space and things to do. Not too far from the beach. Also made it to the aquarium and the zoo.
Wonderful experience would stay there again.
Property was like being at your own private resort. I had many family members traveling to this area for a wedding . They all stayed in one place, made family meals, they were close to beach and all other fun things. Highly recommend, owners were wonderful.
These people were great guests. They read and followed all the rules. It was great getting to know them. Come back anytime.
Cynthia made sure everything was in good order. Thanks, Nannell
