Beautiful cabin with incredible views
We rented the cabin for family that attended my daughters college graduation! Perfect for large families with lots of fun things to do
Beautiful home with plenty of room!
We loved this property! There was a ton of space to stretch out and the views were amazing. There were plenty of towels and big comfy couches to relax. It’s a quiet and serene location and we definitely would recommend booking here!
Exactly what I hoped it would be!
The view is absolutely incredible. Every time of the day. It's always changing. Lots of seating inside and outside. This cabin had everything we needed. We cooked a lot and had all the essentials plus lots of good bonuses. Plenty of space and different activities on different levels. All the beds were very comfortable! Beautifully decorated and cozy. The driveway is really steep but we had no issue with any of our cars. Wifi was great! Definitely hard to leave. It was so quiet and peaceful. Would absolutely stay here again!!
Always a treat to stay @ Tree Top Manor!
This was our 3rd year spending time at Tree Top Manor, and it's always a hit. Hutch is an excellent host! We thank him for allowing us into his own little slice of mountain heaven. As always, we're already excited about & planning for next year!
Beauty on the mountaintop
We enjoyed our stay in late March, despite the fact that a family emergency required my husband to fly to MI for half of our week stay. The weather was a bit moody and we experienced a touch of both winter and spring, but it didn't detract from our enjoyment. The pictures do not do justice to the beauty of both this home and the views!
Everything you may need is provided in the well-equipped kitchen. There are no stocked pantry items...maybe a couple little things others left behind...so make sure to stop in nearby Blairsville for groceries before you climb the mountain to the house. Add filters/ground coffee to the list, as the coffee maker is a standard drip model. Though we didn't use them, we also saw a sandwich maker and slow cooker in the cabinets. There are plenty of cooking pans and dishes, as well as a dishwasher to help with clean up. A full size washer/dryer is also available for use, if needed.
There is plenty of bed space and the ones we used were very comfortable. Our family of 5 had plenty of space and we didn't even use any bunk beds/futon. Bed linens were provided, but it would have been nice to have some extra blankets or even throws in the closets/living room in case of cooler weather. The icy winds were blowing the beginning of our stay and an extra blanket would have been welcome.
There is a good supply of dvds as well as some board games available. We occupied ourselves mostly with the ping pong table...so much fun! Foosball and air hockey are also available, though the puck was missing for air hockey when we were there. The hot tub was a welcome spot at the end of the day and the view from that deck is beautiful.
When others say the drive is steep...believe them! The long, winding (understatement) road up and down mountain to get there is just the prelude to the final ascent. Our Kia Sorento handled it OK, but LOW gear was definitely in order up the final drive. Of course, you can only appreciate and enjoy the view from the top if you climb that mountain. It was worth it!
Make sure to visit the quaint town of Helen, GA when you're in the area. Charming town with many shops and places to eat. We enjoyed a game of mini golf and some ice cream after to celebrate. Atlanta is about a 2.5 hr drive if you wish to take in some sights there or access the airport.
While our plans took a sad turn for the week, we loved the time spent here and would love to return and enjoy it more fully in the future.
Great place in a great location
The house is big, well built, and has a great view out the back windows and deck. We enjoyed our stay.
The road to the house is very steep but manageable. Ice or snow would be a problem. And the parking area in front of the house is small. More than 3 cars would not fit.
We found a few small maintenance issues. The coded lock on the front door is temperamental. We had to call the owner to figure out how to make it work. At least 6 light bulbs were burned out. And the latch on the sliding glass door on the bottom floor doesn't work, but there is an additional lock at floor level to keep it secure.
The house, itself, and the location made all those things minor issues. The location is great for getting to lots of hikes and other activities nearby. And the accommodations, overall, were excellent. Plenty of room to relax and enjoy the mountains.
