The main living area and entry to this unique condo are on the ground floor. The second bedroom and bathroom are located in on the second floor. Your breath will be taken away by the water's apparent closeness and beauty of the surrounding area.

This wonderful location is close to everything you will want to do. It is about an hour drive to Victoria with the provincial capitol buildings, Butchart Gardens and other interesting attractions. The quaint town of Ladysmith is 10 to 15 minutes south, and Nanaimo with its picturesque harbour, restaurants and excellent shopping is 20 to 30 minutes north.

Sports such as fishing from the seasonal 100 ft deep water dock, clamming, swimming, kayaking and hiking just to name a few, make this a terrific location for the entire family's summer vacation.

If you want to get away for a month or more during the coldest parts of the year, and experience Vancouver Island's moderate climate, you will be glad you decided to visit Yellow Point Haven. The fully equipped kitchen, wood burning fireplace and cozy living room with 50 channel TV and DVD player make this a true escape.

Like so many of our guests, you will want to return year after year!

Why Scott Dean, manager chose Ladysmith

I was born and brought up in Quebec, but have lived in Western Canada for many years. When you grow up by the ocean, it is never out of your blood, so the purchase of my beautiful BC condo filled a longing for the sea.

What makes this condo unique

The condo is right on the ocean front of Stuart Strait. The day I bought the condo, I looked out of the front window and saw a sailboat, a group of kayakers, some fishermen, and people swimming in the pool and ocean, as well as enjoying the hot tub. I knew then that I had made the right choice! While the setting is idyllic, it has everything a traveler or family could want, is close to Nanaimo, Chemainus, and Victoria, as well as other area attractions. The grounds are beautiful, and the neighbours friendly and helpful.

Serene ;-)

My wife and I rented this unit for the second time, June 2018.

In my opinion, this unit is one of the best located in the total 'Inn of the Sea' complex.

The views from the front patio, or from inside the unit looking out the floor to ceiling windows, is nothing less than serene.

The unit is very well equipped, and now includes a large screen TV with Netflix access for those rainy days or evenings you may encounter.

We feel privileged to have been able to stay in this unit for our second time... it was serene ;-)

What a wonderful view of sunrise and sunset!!!

Thank You Scott & Patricia for letting us stay at your wonderful place. It's such an awesome place to stay and relax with a great view. We really enjoy our stay and watching sunrise and sunset everyday. At night the moon is so big and bright, so amazing. We definitely will go back soon.

Great view, relaxing family vacation

We're a family of 4 with two teen boys (13 and 16) and a dog and this condo worked out great for a fun and relaxing family holiday. The views from the upstairs bedroom and main floor living room are direct ocean views with the lovely sound of the waves to fall asleep to.

There was a perfect amount of space for 4 people, everyone slept well in the comfortable beds, there were plenty of towels for swimming and showers. The kitchen also had everything we needed.

We used the pool and hot tub at least once a day (sometimes twice) and beach combing on the shore directly off the complex was great (there doesn't appear to be much life at first but gently move a boulder and you'll see 5 or 10 little crabs scurry for cover).

The complex was busier than I anticipated with lots of families with toddlers running around during the day, however the pool was often ours alone and the complex was always silent once the sun went down. In addition, the main floor deck had high bushes with lots of leaves so sitting outside for dinner was private and comfortable.

Here were a few of my highlights from the area:

- Asteras Greek Restaurant in nearby Nanaimo was the best Greek food I've ever had

- The Raptors Visitors Centre Hawk Walk was enjoyable and memorable (staff obviously love the birds and take great care of them)

- Sushi Wara had excellent sushi

- An evening in Victoria was wonderful with a trip to Munro's Books, sea food at Fishhook and a Fringe Festival play (I'd also recommend a water taxi ride if you haven't been to Victoria before)

Beautiful location

My husband and I have stayed here at Inn off the Sea for about 15 years...and never tire of it. Everything is so nicely laid out. If this is your first time visiting...pay attention to any information you get from the owner. Each unit is individually owned so you need your instructions with you. We have been coming for many years so everything is old hat to us.

I think the resort just gets better every time we come....if you are looking for a quiet piece of paradise...this is for you.

Lovely spot

This was a lovely spot overlooking the sea. The accommodations are large and modern, there is a hot tub outside for everyone's use, and also a pool which was closed when we were there. The only thing that could have been better for us was the weather. We would stay again for sure.
