I am pleased to offer a large room with a queen sized bed in a peaceful, completely renovated home in Richmond's West End - close to eclectic restaurants, shopping, workout facilities, grocery stores, parks, movie theaters, and locally owned bakeries and stores - all within a 10 minute drive! If you are more leisurely there is a huge, beautiful park around the corner with walking and jogging and bike trails, and even a fishing pond! Best of all, this quiet, clean, and comfortable home features all the amenities you might need during your stay.
Before reading more, please note that I have three cats who think they are dogs and two puppies but they are NOT allowed in the guest rooms or any area where they may bother you. My brother-in-law is highly allergic and recently stayed for five days without a Zyrtec in sight! The home is immaculate, and you will find the common areas have all new furniture and rugs, fresh paint, new appliances, and a beautiful patio in back with afternoon shade and two rockers on the front porch with morning shade! Best of all, your room has a new mattress and pillows, a recliner, reading lamps on each nightstand, and a smart TV. Big closets allow you to stay for a night or months, and we feature "Comphy" sheets on the beds - a slice of heaven if you have not tried them (used in many spas).
The home is large and has a living room, dining room, and kitchen as part of the common area. You are welcome to use the kitchen as you need (we all clean up after ourselves) and you will find it fully stocked with everything from a slow cooker to Lodge cast iron, and a Keurig 2.0 with compostable (not refillable:) pods. Large dorm refrigerator in your room and you are welcome to use the large refrigerator in the kitchen as needed. We are in the heart of great restaurants, and nearly any food can be delivered!
I am five minutes from I-64 and I-295, and seven minutes from the I-64/I95 interchange. Williamsburg is about 45 minutes away, Washington DC is about 90 minutes away, but Richmond will probably have plenty to keep you busy without traveling at all!
The guest bedroom is at the opposite end of the house from the master, and you have a large private bath down the hall. The pets stay down in their own "animal sanctuary" at night so as not to keep you up. I do ask that you keep the bedroom doors closed to maintain my "no animals in the guest rooms" rules (they know it, too:), and each room has a new ceiling fan, air conditioner, and room darkening curtains for a long, comfortable, sleep.
I am a professor so the wifi is great, and works well outside if you like fresh air while cruising the internet. Your bathroom is large and contains soft towels and a tub/shower combination big enough for a comfortable soak if you need it. Clean sheets and towels will be provided weekly at no extra charge, as well a dusting and vacuuming of your room. While you are here we can interact or not (your choice:), but I am always available for questions and assistance, and have an operations manager who lives close by in case I am not directly available.
I have traveled the world using VRBO/Home Away and know that I like clean, cool, comfortable, and quiet, and that is what you will have here as well. My pricing reflects the quality of the area, home, amenities, and excellent experience you will have, and I look forward to welcoming you to my home!
All the best,
P.S. I do want to emphasize the "quiet" part of the neighborhood and general relaxed feel of my home. If you have more than 2 guests there is room for raised air mattresses on the floor for an extra $50, and I will supply those, also with the high quality sheets and pillows.
