Why Jen de Loe chose Weisshorn
Breckenridge is a completely unique vacation destination with things to do and enjoy 12 months a year. Our family loves the mountains! Our children, ages 8 and 10, are avid hikers and love to explore the beautiful terrain up in Summit County.
What makes this Cabin unique
Skiing, hiking, bike-riding, fishing,rock-climbing, going to any of the many festivals Breckenridge puts on each month, exploring Summit County, reading, enjoying the quiet, the mountains.
100% refund if canceled at least 60 days before arrival date.
Our 2nd trip to the Moose Hut
This was our 2nd trip to the Moose Hut, we liked it so much last August that we decided to return again this summer. The cabin is close to town but feels like you are away from it all in a cozy setting in the trees. We walked to town from the cabin every day. It was very relaxing and there are nice walking paths nearby too.
Beautiful place to stay, peaceful and close to the town! Love it and will be staying there again.
Great place for a family weekend away. My so. Loved all the moose (moose’s?). Great communication and great place. Small but perfect for a family.
Moose Hut Weekend
The Moose Hut is a perfect place for a couple to get away for the weekend! Super cozy and close to Main Street Breckenridge and the ski slopes.
The Moose Hut was the perfect cabin in the woods - close to downtown, yet peaceful and quiet, with lots of wildlife to enjoy! The cabin was tastefully decorated with everything our family of 6 and our dog Rocky needed to enjoy our stay! We loved that we were close enough to walk to downtown Breckenridge, and then shuttle back when the walk uphill was too much after a long day of skiing. We did panic when we first got into town and didn't have the keycode to get into the cabin. A call to Jen the owner took care of that. (Just FYI check in is 4:00 sharp unless you ask for early check in!) Jen was super friendly and easy to work with. We will definitely be back!
Mostly enjoyable experience!
Beautiful free standing cabin in the woods. Family of 5. Several amenities included. Sleds were in pretty rough shape, but we found 1-2 that did the job, quite a nice long sledding hill out back. Bin of kindling was empty, but we found the axe and made our own. Super icey deck from the melting roof, couldn't find the salt pale, but was told it was there. Hot Tub was not working, but the owner sent someone out immediately to address that.
