Spectacular House & View

  • 5 of 5

This house is lovely. Stunning and comfortable. The outdoor living areas and kitchen make it extra special. Nice boat house and dock area. Everything was as advertised. We loved floating in the lake in this cove. We will definitely be back!

A few things of note: The house on right side is very close. Just something to note for privacy sake. The walk up and down the rock walkway to the lake could be challenging for older folks or people unsteady on their feet.

Cute, cozy, and clean

  • 5 of 5

The A frame cabin was lovely. We really enjoyed the covered porch and ate all of our meals outside. We also enjoyed using the kayaks and canoe. My kids spent a lot of time fishing off the dock and caught many sunfish. Everything was clean and we felt right at home. While in the area we hiked, went ziplining, and rented a double decker pontoon boat. We did get a fair amount of rain, but the covered porch allowed us to sit outside nonetheless. Very nice place to get away!

Owner's Response: Lisa, Thanks for sharing your memories with us! We have been gifted with plenty of rain this summer, mostly late afternoon and evening showers, so not a total loss of the day. Listening to the rain on the metal roof over the back porch is always a treat too! Outdoor entertaining is very important to us and we keep adding little touches to improve it. We hope that you will come an unwind again with us! Karen and Jacque

Beautiful home, perfect size. Fun on the water!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in this home in the summer with our three children and had the best time. House was beautiful. Loved the outdoor dining area. Access to kayaks and canoe was a huge bonus. Kids swam in the beautiful lake all day long while we spent time reading on the wonderful deck/patio area with steps down to the water. Plenty of space inside with a cozy hang out area. Neighbors were such a help finding the place when we showed up on a dark and stormy night with the power out. (Don’t follow google maps directions!) Neighbors were so kind and helpful and our kids made some fast friends with theirs.

We would love to return some time.

Owner's Response: Shannon, We are so glad that you enjoyed your visit to Lake James! We love to hear from our guests and what they enjoyed about their stay. We are blessed with good neighbors! One of our favorite things about Summer Pl, is all the outdoor lounging areas. It makes for great conversation over dinner with friends and family. We hope that you will return to visit often! Very comfortable lake house

  • 5 of 5

We planned a short getaway to the NC mountains, and so enjoyed this lake front property. We were able to go into Morganton for some fine dining, and hiked in the mountains at Hawksbill Trail. The home was very nicely furnished. We had plenty of room for our food and belongings, and the kitchen was well equipped. We hope to return, maybe in the summer to really enjoy the lake.

Adorable cottage, beautiful outdoor space and neighbors were super nice!

  • 5 of 5

Everything was more beautiful than pictures! Super clean too😀 It rained our first two days we were able to sit out side under the covered porch. We meet neighbors on both sides of this property and they were so nice and personable. We Brought our boat and Mimosa landing was right down the road . We celebrated 2 birthdays and had a amazing time on Lake James! The Lindenbergs, Greensboro,NC

  • 5 of 5

We had a great stay. Great home with good amenities. We did a lot

1) BBQ on grill

2) swam in lake off of private dock. Prefect temperature water. Clean lake. Private cove.

3) mountain biking at lake james state park just 15 minutes away. Purpose built mountain biking trails. Went for walk on trails. Nice beach

4) Swam across cove daily for exercise

5) used kayaks to fly fish around cove. Caught Sun fish

6) used floats to lounge in sun

7) Ate dinner outside every night on large covered deck. Beautiful wood A-frame cover

8) drove to ashville for dinner, shopping, and music

9) rented pontoon boat from lake james general store, took boat to beat creek marina for dinner, went tubing behind the boat, visited homes for sale on the lake

And much more...
