Our completely renovated detached guesthouse sits amidst the tree-lined streets of Eola Heights Historic District, three blocks to beautiful Lake Eola. Enjoy nearby dining, shopping, and entertainment. Business travelers are minutes from Orange County Courthouse and Central Business District.
Completely updated 400 square-foot detached guesthouse with one bedroom and one bath, separate queen-size pull-out sofa, two flatscreen TVs, cable, WiFi, internet, indoor washer and dryer, brand new kitchen appliances, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, stove, and full-size refrigerator. Enjoy full privacy inside -- no shared walls or spaces. After a day of fun or a night on the town, get a fantastic night's sleep in the super luxurious queen-size bed.
You may access all areas of the house except the loft. Please enjoy the outside table and chairs but not the backyard area of the main house. There is one parking space designated for you on the left-hand side of the driveway and also street parking if needed.
You decide! We give lots of privacy but are always just a phone call or text or short drive away if you need assistance. Additionally, we compiled an extensive notebook with helpful information on checking in and out, directions, appliance how-to, emergency numbers, dining, entertainment, and transportation.
Downtown Orlando is a fantastic place to stay. Live among the locals and yet still be close to Universal Studios (11 miles), Sea World (17 miles), the Disney area (20 miles), International Drive (15 miles), Orlando Science Center (2 miles), and the Orlando International Airport (13 miles).
The historic residential neighborhood is quiet and charming, yet a short 5-10 minute walk will bring you to the Orange County Courthouse and to the Central Business District. We are only a few minutes' drive to the library, Dr. Phillips Performing Arts Center, Amway Center, Camping World Stadium, and Orlando City Stadium. You can walk a few blocks to Lake Eola to dine, visit the playground or amphitheater, ride a swan paddle boat, stroll a mile around the lake, watch the fountain light up at night, or enjoy the Sunday Farmers' Market. Publix and World of Beer can be found on the south side of the lake, and the Thornton Park District on the east side.
While walking is a great way to enjoy the immediate areas, for further exploring there are bicycles to rent, rental car agencies, Uber, Lyft, Pedicabs, O-Cartz, as well as Lymmo, which is a free downtown bus service. The Lynx Regional Bus System and SunRail Commuter Train are nearby.

About Lisa Craft
My husband and I were both born and raised in the Orlando area. It's a great place to enjoy year-round fun with our three boys. Of course, we love the chance to get away as well, especially to Historic Savannah. Wherever we travel, our favorite thing to do is eat at the locals' favorite spots. "Enjoy Life, It's Delicious." We hope you enjoy life during your stay in our neighborhood.

Great Location and access to a variety of restaurants
We visited the Orlando area for 5 days while touring the Disneyworld Parks. The location of the Harwood home was excellent and provided us easy access to restaurants we preferred based on our diet restrictions. The area was very quiet and beautiful, within walking distance to the restaurants. The amenities were exactly what we needed and not overboard. The house was very clean and perfect for our family. We would definitely recommend staying at Harwood..the price, location and amenities are very suitable.
Thank you, Julia and family, for being such great guests! We are so glad you enjoyed your stay and hope you will return for another spring break.
Beautifully Furnished, Clean and Walkable
We had a terrific stay! There is much to recommend Harwood House. It is attractively decorated and clean. Everything needed for our stay was provided (Lisa has put a lot of thought into the furnishings). The location, in a quiet neighborhood near beautiful lake Eola, is walkable. Restaurants and stores are only a short distance away.
Thank you, James & Marina! We are so happy you enjoyed your visit. And many thanks for leaving the house so immaculate!
Great Downton Cottage
This property served as home base for a couple of days while visiting a son. Close to the Orlando Downtown and its entertainment districts. Nestled in a quaint, quiet neighborhood, just 2 blocks from Lake Eola. The house was clean and was perfect for the 2 of us. We would definitely recommend this property and plan to stay there again on future visits .
Spotless. Perfect location for walking downtown and Lake Eola area.
Wonderful property. Great neighborhood. Owner obviously puts a tremendous amount of effort into making it a cozy, spotlessly clean place.
Thank you, Allen. We are so glad you enjoyed your stay! We very much appreciate your taking such good care of the house and hope you come back and see us soon.
Great location in Downtown Orlando!
Attention to detail makes Harwood House a very charming, comfortable, clean and well-equipped guesthouse in a beautiful residential neighborhood. Lisa, the owner, was very responsive and helpful. We enjoyed our stay in this lovely, welcoming and thoughtfully decorated guesthouse.
Thank you, Susanne! We appreciate our wonderful guests who take such good care of the house. You are welcome back any time!
A wonderful first experience
This trip was my first experience with VRBO. A total success. The owners provided all the necessary information for check in prior to our arrival and it was smooth sailing. The place was exactly as described. A notebook full of information was provided. Truly a wonderful experience. Can’t wait for my next trip.
When in Orlando, this is definitely the place to stay if you like interesting, quaint and off the “tourist trail”.
Thank you, Mindee, for choosing Harwood House to stay at in Orlando. We really tried to think of everything to make your visit a memorable and pleasant experience. Thank you for taking such good care of the house and we would love for you and your friends to come again. Best wishes!
