Downtown Orlando is a fantastic place to stay. Live among the locals and yet still be close to Universal Studios (11 miles), Sea World (17 miles), the Disney area (20 miles), International Drive (15 miles), Orlando Science Center (2 miles), and the Orlando International Airport (13 miles).
The historic residential neighborhood is quiet and charming, yet a short 5-10 minute walk will bring you to the Orange County Courthouse and to the Central Business District. We are only a few minutes' drive to the library, Dr. Phillips Performing Arts Center, Amway Center, Camping World Stadium, and Orlando City Stadium. You can walk a few blocks to Lake Eola to dine, visit the playground or amphitheater, ride a swan paddle boat, stroll a mile around the lake, watch the fountain light up at night, or enjoy the Sunday Farmers' Market. Publix and World of Beer can be found on the south side of the lake, and the Thornton Park District on the east side.
While walking is a great way to enjoy the immediate areas, for further exploring there are bicycles to rent, rental car agencies, Uber, Lyft, Pedicabs, O-Cartz, as well as Lymmo, which is a free downtown bus service. The Lynx Regional Bus System and SunRail Commuter Train are nearby.
